The intention of this practice is mindfulness and to take an intentional pause during the day whenever you feel like you need to reconnect and come back to baseline.
Wayne Dyer says that our intention creates our reality.
So if our minds have wandered with our to-dos and all of our responsibilities,
It's a great idea to take a pause like this,
Come back to your breath and reset your intention.
I invite you to get comfortable and close your eyes.
Sit with confidence but relax your shoulders and your jaw,
Bringing yourself into this present moment.
Pay attention to how your body feels.
If you feel anything tight or uncomfortable,
Just shake it out a little bit,
Do any adjustments that you need to make yourself feel even just 10% more relaxed.
Our breath is our life force.
Breathing gives us life.
So let's connect with our breath.
Notice as you take a long,
Slow,
Deep inhalation in.
This breath coming in is rejuvenating and bringing oxygen to all of your cells.
And hold it at the top and slowly and gently release.
Take another conscious breath in as you witness it.
In through the nose,
Feel the air as it passes the nostrils all the way in and slowly and gently release.
In the present moment,
Right here,
Right now,
If any thoughts wander in,
Allow them to dissipate such as a cloud floating by.
Let it come and let it go,
Allowing your breath to just naturally inhale and exhale whatever is comfortable,
Not trying to change it and no expectations.
Feeling the life force within,
Feeling the energy around your heart space,
Feeling the air around you.
As you breathe in,
Say to yourself,
I know I am breathing in.
And as you naturally exhale,
I know I am breathing out.
As you naturally inhale,
I know I am breathing in.
And exhale,
I know I am breathing out.
Carry these words for a few more breaths.
I know I am breathing in.
And I know I am breathing out.
Let anything go that you're holding on to,
Feeling lighter.
I know I am breathing in.
I know I am breathing out.
Feeling free,
Feeling present,
Feeling calm,
And at peace,
I know I am breathing in.
I know I am breathing out.
Now repeat,
Breathing in,
I calm my body.
Breathing out,
I smile.
Breathing in,
I calm my body.
Breathing out,
I smile.
Breathing in,
I calm my body.
Breathing out,
I smile.
Repeat this a few more times.
As you breathe in,
I calm my body.
Breathing out,
I smile.
Great work.
