Hello dear human.
Sometimes life is peaceful and it flows so smoothly and sometimes life can feel challenging.
Each is part of our human experience.
Sometimes we feel like if we could just change this or control something that things would be great or better or just at least good.
What meditation has to teach us is that we can step back and cultivate the witness when we learn to align with that aspect of our vastness.
We can truly begin to learn the art of relaxation.
Relaxing into life purely as it is,
Purely as we are.
Take a moment to become comfortable in your seat,
Whether you're laying down or you're seated.
You could close your eyes or have them open.
Begin to notice your breath.
Observe the breath moving in through your nostrils down into the belly of the body and observe the breath as it flows back out.
And now begin to sense the breath exactly as it is without interference or controlling.
Watch,
Watch your body breathe and let these breaths be smooth and easy with no beginning or no end.
Let the breath flow.
Sometimes deep,
Sometimes shallow.
And then take a moment to bring to your attention an area of your life where you're wanting to change,
Control,
Alter.
It might be a person,
It could be a situation.
You want it to be different than it is.
Notice the feelings and awarenesses that arise in your body as you feel into that situation.
And now shift your awareness to the most beautiful visualisation,
A crystal clear mountain lake,
Luminous in colour,
Vastness and broad.
This lake has no ripples,
It is still and quiet,
Absolutely serene.
Gaze at this vastness,
This boundlessness,
Open sky,
Supportive ground and every colour of the rainbow in between.
This clear mountain lake is surrounded by beautiful mountains,
Smooth easy,
Serene.
And now begin to walk a little closer to the lake and look just beneath the surface,
Just beneath the surface is the awareness of what you would like to change.
And then come back to the vastness and sense your humanness moving between,
Acknowledging that there is something that feels a little bothersome.
And then come back to opening to this beautiful crystal clear mountain lake.
And now let's breathe together.
Become this ripple-less water.
Become this wide open serenity.
By following the breath in and out and being with exactly what is.
I will watch the time and let's breathe together,
Seamless,
Boundless,
Circular breaths,
No beginning,
No end.
Settling right into this moment purely as it is,
Let the agitations be there and continue to return to this wide open awareness and this seamless breath.
You are the boundlessness.
You are the ripple-less water.
You are the mountains,
The sky,
The ground.
You are,
You are,
Yes,
You are.
You are,
You are,
Yes,
You are.
Begin to deepen your breath.
I hope that this meditation has served you well.
And I give great thanks for you being here today.
Sending love out in all directions.
Namaste.
