So welcome to this short meditation at the beautiful Granite Belt Adventure Lodge.
We'd like to dedicate this meditation to Bron who owns this lodge that we use for our retreats now.
It's absolutely beautiful and while we've been here this stunning cherry blossom has been flowering and it's just been an inspiration to watch it over the weekend.
So I hope you enjoy this meditation.
Find a comfortable seat,
Find a comfortable position.
You could be seated in a chair,
You could be standing,
You could be laying on your bed to enjoy this.
And when you're ready take a nice smooth inhalation and as you exhale allow your eyelids to close gently.
And if having your eyes open is more suited to your current position do that.
You might like to give a little sway from side to side.
And as you breathe just let the wind of life flow through your body into your lungs.
And slowly come to stillness,
Quiet and stability.
Rest down,
Rest back.
And drop into all of your senses.
Let them be wide open,
Feeling this moment as it is.
The sounds close to you,
The sounds in the distance.
The feel of air touching your skin,
The warmth of the cool.
Notice all of the senses,
The sensations in your mouth,
Your nostrils behind your eyes.
And settle in just for a few moments.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And finding a beautiful soothing rhythm.
Noticing that each and every inhale and exhale is completely different.
And you might like to find a sense of evenness by balancing your inhale with your exhale.
Feeling into those brief and momentary pauses at the end of the inhale,
At the end of the exhale.
Feeling into moments of complete suspension.
At the end of the exhalations,
Feel the body dropping a little deeper.
Into this moment,
Into your position.
Letting the muscle body soften,
Letting the skin body slacken.
So for today's meditation,
We're going to use a mantra.
Just for a few minutes.
The mantra is Om.
The sound of the universe.
Universal sound.
Shradaya,
Shraddha.
Trust or faith.
Namaha.
And Namaha means to bend,
To bow.
So let's for this few moments together bow.
Just like this beautiful cherry blossom.
Let's bow to what is.
Whatever's going through your life situation at the moment.
Whatever you're feeling into.
Whatever you're moving through.
Let's bow and bend and trust.
The vibration of the universe.
So let me begin by reciting the mantra a few times.
And then you take it inside.
And I'll watch the time.
And I'll let you know when we're coming towards the end of our meditation.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Take it in now.
Repeat it silently within.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Om Shradaya Namaha.
Take a nice smooth easy breath in through both of your nostrils.
Let the exhale fall out of your mouth.
And let the mantra go.
Sensing into the quiet.
Sensing into the trust and faith and the ability to flow.
Bend and bow to the pulsation of life.
When you feel ready,
Begin to gently make a gathering motion with your hands.
And just kind of gather in that which you will be taking with you.
Bring your hands right up towards your heart,
Laying one hand on top of the other.
And in your mind's eye,
See a cherry blossom flower in the center of your heart.
Breathe deep into the center of this beautiful moment,
This beautiful flower,
This beautiful vibration that we have created together today.
When you're ready,
Bring your palms together at your heart and bow your head ever so slightly,
Bowing the mind to the heart,
Giving great thanks for life.
This day and these beautiful cherry blossoms.
Namaste.
