Hi,
My name is Allison.
And I'm honored that you clicked on this meditation today.
This meditation called,
This is the Moment We Shift Our Anxiety.
And before we begin,
I want you to know there's nothing wrong with you for feeling anxious.
Nothing wrong with you for worrying.
Nothing wrong with you for feeling overwhelmed by life.
Anxiety is often what happens when a tender heart meets an uncertain world.
So for the next few moments,
We're not going to fight what you've been feeling.
What's already true for you.
We're not going to fix it.
We're simply going to sit beside it with kindness.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Keep breathing at that pace and let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw unclench.
Breathe in through your nose.
This time,
Breathe out through your nose.
Breathe in through your nose.
Breathe out through your nose.
And again,
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Allow the weight you've been carrying to rest for just a moment.
Soften the tensions in your fingers,
In your toes,
In your belly.
You don't need to hold anything together right now.
As you continue breathing.
Let the anxious thoughts that you are having come to the surface.
And just notice them.
No need to analyze,
No need to solve.
Just acknowledging their presence.
Notice the story your mind wants to tell.
Maybe it sounds like,
Why is this happening to me?
Why can't this be easier?
Why do I always struggle?
Why can't I figure this out?
These are such human questions.
Questions born from a heart that longs for relief.
Take a slow breath in.
And exhale through the nose.
Do it again.
Inhale.
Exhale through nose.
Now imagine for a moment that you gently set those questions aside.
Not for forever,
Just for now.
Like placing a heavy backpack besides you on the ground.
And from this quieter place,
Invite a new question.
A softer question.
A wiser question.
Ask,
What if this is happening for me?
What if there is something here to learn?
What if there is wisdom hidden inside this moment?
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
What if this is happening for me?
Repeat that in your mind.
What if there is something here to learn?
What if there is wisdom hidden inside this moment?
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Soften the resistance within your body,
The tension,
The clenching,
The tightness.
Start at the face,
The eyes,
The ears,
The mouth.
Soften the chest,
The shoulders.
The belly,
The hips,
The hands,
The toes.
Let these words settle into your heart,
Even if you don't feel like you completely mean them.
I am here for the lesson.
Not because I enjoy suffering,
Not because pain is required,
But because life is always teaching.
Every season,
Every challenge,
Every uncertainty.
Every ending,
Every beginning.
Life is constantly asking us to become more of ourselves,
More courageous,
More trusting,
More compassionate,
More awake.
Breathing in.
I am here.
Breathing out for the lesson.
Breathing in,
I am here.
Breathing out for the lesson.
Breathing in,
I am here.
Breathing out for the lesson.
Breathe normally.
Notice how this feels.
Not necessarily better or easier,
Just maybe different.
Maybe curiosity has emerged,
Trust,
Openness.
Take another slow breath in.
Slow breath out.
Thank you,
Friends,
For giving me your time today.
You can come back to this anytime.
I'll see you in the next audio.
