Take a breath in,
Not deep,
Just real,
Then let it go like you're dropping a heavy coat.
Let your shoulders fall.
Let your jaw soften.
Let your belly be like jelly,
Let gravity do all the work.
Now notice where your body is holding on,
Just to observe,
Because awareness is how we shift without force.
Feel into the edges,
The clench,
The churn,
The tension.
Let them be part of your landscape.
Now allow your attention to land on the place in your body where anxiety lives the loudest.
Allow your breath to flow to it,
Not to make it disappear,
But to let it feel seen.
Say to it quietly in your mind,
I hear you,
I'm not pushing you away,
But I'm not feeding you either.
Let that part of you exist without running the show.
Now imagine the anxious thoughts as tabs open in your mind,
You're not closing them,
Just stepping back,
Zooming out from the screen,
Observing the tabs but not clicking.
And now bring your awareness to your spine,
Noticing its quiet strength,
The line that holds you upright.
Imagine exhaling down your spine,
Like rinsing it with calm,
Fresh air.
With every breath you return,
Not to peace that's perfect,
But to presence that's honest,
Real and here.
