Finding a comfortable posture which could be standing or laying down really whatever comes to you.
This time let's bring our attention for a moment toward our breath because often when we close the eyes this is the first thing coming up.
The rhythm of your inhale and your exhale.
Sensing the way it poses between each breath and your breath.
Find your seat.
Your feet.
For some of you your feet are on the ground.
You sit on the chair.
Or as I sit,
Maybe on the pillow.
Just sense what part of your body are in direct contact with the heart structure or soft structure.
Letting the gravity just be there.
And then maybe even your hands are resting somewhere and walking toward gravity.
Your arms warm or cold.
There's a fabric under them,
Soft,
Itchy,
Scratchy.
Warm.
For a moment I would like to invite you to imagine an aquarium.
For a window,
Water,
Little fishes and a treasure chest.
Just at the bottom there,
Treasure chest.
Every time you inhale let out some bubbles and every time you exhale close the lid somehow.
I'm sure you've seen those in your past or in movies.
Treasure chest opening with bubbles.
And closing.
Maybe you can imagine each bubble representing a worry or things you don't need to keep holding or hiding in your body or mind or soul.
This treasure chest itself represented by your body.
The gravity of your feet,
Your leg on that bottom of the aquarium now.
Maybe there is sensation of the body that are unpleasant.
You can name them and let it go through a bubble up to the surface of the aquarium.
Maybe there is some mental action,
Thoughts that are disturbing your meditation.
You could also name them planning,
Here is a bubble.
Rearsing,
Here is a bubble.
Let's stay with that image for a while.
From that place now you could in your mind open the eyes and look around the fish,
Look around behind the window,
Beyond the window and sense that peace of not having to move,
Not having to act in the present.
Just being aware of it.
Aware of your breath,
Aware of your body,
Aware of that life beyond and yet steady in your seat,
Steady in your awareness.
In a moment I'm just going to invite you to take a deep breath in hell and maybe open your eyes and come on out.
