I want you to notice how your body feels right now.
Let's begin by taking note of the rhythm of your breath.
Notice the natural pace at which you're breathing.
Where do you notice the breath most prominently?
Your nostrils,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Perhaps another body part.
Just observe the movements and the sensations associated with your breath.
Next,
I'd like you to imagine a smell that makes you happy.
It could be any smell,
An aroma,
Cologne or perfume,
A food of sorts.
I want you to examine the smell.
Notice how this particular smell makes you feel.
Notice how your body reacts to the thought of this smell.
Now I'd like you to imagine a sound that makes you happy.
Could be a baby laughing,
A cat meowing,
A bird chirping.
Just imagine that sound and how it makes you feel.
Notice how your body reacts to the sound that you're listening to.
Notice how you feel in this moment.
Next,
I'd like you to imagine a taste that makes you happy.
Be anything in the world,
Something you may have eaten a while ago or it could even be a mint.
Just explore this imagined flavor in your mouth.
How do you feel when you embrace this flavor?
How does your body react?
Now imagine something that you may touch that you really enjoy touching that makes you happy.
It can be a certain textile,
Could be something from nature or even the fur of your fur baby.
Just imagine the sensation of that which you are touching that brings you happiness.
Notice how your body feels in this moment.
Next,
I'd like you to imagine being in the presence of someone who makes you happy.
It can be someone that you see on a regular basis,
It can be someone you haven't seen for a while.
Just imagine this person,
Ensure that they are someone that you really,
Really like being around.
Notice how you feel when you're in their presence.
Excitement,
Comfort,
Appreciation.
Lastly,
I'd like you to think of something you're looking forward to today.
It could be something big or could be something as small as cooking breakfast or dinner.
Whatever it is,
Just acknowledge that something.
Notice the sensations,
The emotions that come with thinking of that for which you're looking forward to.
And when you're ready,
You may gently open your eyes and welcome back your physical surroundings.
And when you've done so,
Just have a quick think of one thing about yourself for which you are grateful.
Just a quality about yourself which you are grateful.
And why are you grateful for this quality?
