Find success on your own terms. In this visualisation we'll attune to what success looks like, feels like and acts like, on your own terms. This means doing deep to uncover and connect to your vision of success as the unique person that you are. This practice helps gain clarity on what success looks like for you, and then align your actions with intention to begin walking a new path—a path of success.

Hello and thank you for joining me today for this guided mindfulness practice on success.
My name is Alexis and I'm very grateful to have you here with me,
Joining me today.
Take a moment now to really breathe deeply,
Inhale fully through your nose,
Allow it to really feel your belly,
Feel your chest,
Feel the expansion of that inhale and gently and slowly exhale slowly through your mouth.
Inhale again and gently notice as you inhale the feeling of expansion and as you exhale notice how your shoulders,
Your jaw and your neck and anywhere that might be holding tension just relaxes as you do this.
Take a few big deep breaths here,
Continue breathing deeply and just gently bring your awareness to where you're anchoring on the floor or on the chair,
If you're on a couch or on a bed,
Just start to notice the sensations of where your skin is maybe meeting the carpet or a yoga mat or what it feels like to be anchoring down right now.
Just gently acknowledge these sensations on your skin where you're sitting.
So as you continue to breathe deeply here,
Breathe in and fill the lungs,
Exhale slowly continuing to notice any tension releasing on that out breath.
Notice how each breath you take allows you to feel more grounded,
More present with me here and now.
Now what is success?
Success is the knowingness that the choices you make are aligned on a soul level.
It's a sense of ease and contentedness that comes when things just feel right.
But success can also be found in the discomfort that comes from pushing through fear.
When we know what's right for us is on the other side of a hard decision,
A hard conversation or a new direction.
Success is the liberation that comes from freedom,
When our authentic self no longer needs to pretend and instead just feels free to be.
Now success doesn't always come easy but it is always on our own terms.
It's the marriage between your values and your calling that reminds you you're already home and that you always have been.
It's when you give yourself permission to just be you everywhere and all the time.
Success is felt.
It may not be seen or heard but it's that calm clarity of head,
Of heart,
Of soul that reminds you you're exactly where you need to be in time and space.
Now as you breathe in,
Feel the calming sensation of knowingness.
You already know what success feels like for you.
Maybe that's only an inkling right now but intuitively you know.
And now we're going to take some time to connect to this vision and this feeling of success on your own terms.
Now I want you to imagine waking up on a day that feels like your perfect day.
I want you to see this now in your mind's eye.
Now this isn't an unrealistic day but one where you feel a sense of success for where you're at in life.
What would your perfect day look like?
I want you to picture the room around you now as you're waking up on this perfect day.
And as you open your eyes,
What can you notice?
Can you notice the light filtering into the room?
What are the colours?
What are the details of the space that you're in as you're waking up?
And take a moment to feel the atmosphere of the room you're in.
What can you sense in the room around you as you wake up on this perfect day?
What does the atmosphere feel like?
Is it a sense of calm or excitement or perhaps readiness?
Whatever feels right for you,
Just feel into the room right now.
Now as you start your day,
As you start to move from the bed and this first scene on your successful perfect day,
I want you to start bringing some awareness to what brings you a true sense of things feeling right.
Who are you with,
If anyone?
What activities are part of your morning?
Take a few moments now just to settle into this scene as you emerge from your bed on this perfect day.
Who are you with,
If anyone?
And what are you doing that just gives you a sense of things being right and knowing this,
That this is where you need to be.
This is what success feels like for you.
Really settle into this scene and see it vividly in your mind's eye.
What are you feeling as you move through this scene?
Are you moving with purpose?
Perhaps you're feeling energized.
Perhaps you're feeling inspired in this moment.
How does it feel in the body to move through the world in this way?
And really let that sense settle into the body.
Notice where you're experiencing these feelings and these sensations.
Where do they sit in the body?
Now we're going to begin moving through the rest of your day,
The rest of your perfect day in your vision of success.
Can you imagine just moving through this day with a sense of clarity and with a sense of ease?
Begin to visualize the rest of the environments you interact with through this day.
Where are you?
What are you doing?
And just notice in what specific ways this aligns to your personal values and what's important to you.
Notice the environments you choose to be in on this perfect day.
Notice what you choose to do.
Now notice the people that you're interacting with on this perfect day.
Who do you choose to surround yourself with in these environments?
Are they those who encourage you or inspire you?
Maybe they push your motivation and really bring out the best in you,
Whatever that might be for you.
Just notice the people you're choosing to be around and how they make you feel on this perfect day of yours.
Just notice also where these sensations are experienced in the body.
Are these gut feelings?
Are they heart feelings?
Are they head feelings?
Wherever you're noticing how these experiences make you feel,
Notice where they sit in the body for you.
Now I want you to really attune to and acknowledge the felt sense of fulfillment and meaningfulness that's coming from moving through this perfect day as your best self.
And I want you to notice what's giving you this.
Is it the tasks you're completing or the pursuit of your goals or is it those who you're interacting with?
Is it simply just being in an environment that gives you life?
Whatever you're doing,
Whoever you're with,
Wherever you are,
I want you to give yourself the permission now to feel that sense of fulfillment,
That sense of meaningfulness in what you're doing on this successful day,
On this perfect day for you.
Give yourself the permission to feel that way about this particular day and just let that feeling really settle into you and through you wherever it sits.
And how are you showing up on this particular day?
I want you to notice who you've become,
Who you are on this perfect day in your vision of success.
How do you show up in the world?
Who are you for those around you?
On this day are you a more caring,
More kind person?
Maybe you're perhaps in service of others in some way.
Just notice who you are and settle into the feeling of being that person that you see in your vision right now.
How does it feel to be successful?
Where do those feelings of success settle into the physical body?
Notice it again.
Are you experiencing perhaps a sense of gratitude or contentedness held in the belly or the heart space?
Wherever you're feeling the success right now and what that's bringing up,
Just simply embrace it and allow it to be there.
Give yourself permission to experience it.
Now this day that you've just experienced reflects your authentic and your unique definition of success.
This looks different for all of us.
Notice any feelings of pride or joy or peace that arise from experiencing success on your own terms and let that really settle into your heart space now.
Now slowly and as you feel ready,
Take some big deep grounding breaths and just return to your surroundings.
Just continue to hold this sense of success inside you.
And very gently as you're ready,
Open your eyes and return to the room here with me now.
This practice has been designed to really help you connect to and clarify what success feels like,
Looks like,
Smells like,
Tastes like,
Behaves on your own terms.
It's an ideal day in the life of successful you,
Which is available to you whenever you choose to experience it.
