Often we feel stuck or trapped by our circumstances, yearning after the lives we see others living and forgetting that we have the power to create a life of freedom for ourselves. When we are living in envy, we are out of alignment with our truest selves, and instead become fixated or lost in the external expectations we believe we need to achieve. This practice will help guide you back home, to your own innate inner voice and align with your personal sense of agency to step into your freedom.

Welcome to this guided practice on releasing envy and embracing freedom.

Often we fool ourselves into believing that we are not in complete control of our freedom,

That other circumstances or people have a hold over the decisions we make in our lives.

This is not true.

We are beholden unto ourselves only and thus a prisoner of our own volition.

When we acknowledge this we can take ownership for ourselves and our decisions to shift to a state of grounded authenticity in ourselves.

Often we are unknowingly clouded by envy.

Envy of others' lives,

Jobs,

Relationships,

Possessions,

Circumstances.

But this is a fool's game that keeps us trapped from moving forward with freedom in alignment with what feels true for us.

Envy occurs when we outsource our validation and expectations and begin to buy into the external narratives we see and hear around us.

When we experience envy we are no longer aligned to what our soul has been put here to do.

To be envious is to want to walk the path of another without truly understanding the challenges of that journey and not accepting that our journey entails the lessons that we alone must experience in this lifetime.

To embrace our own freedom we must release ourselves from these external expectations and release the envy we feel towards the life of another so we create the space to step into our own freedom.

To do this we must attune to and trust our own inner voice.

Our inner voice is our intuition and our intuition always knows best.

It is the guiding light of your soul and the vehicle that allows your most authentic self to shine through.

When we lean into and trust our inner voice first and foremost we are internalizing our agency and reaffirming to ourselves that we know what is best for us.

When we do this we become stronger and more resilient in ourselves as we become less reliant on our external environment for cues and messages about what we should or could be doing.

Trusting our inner voice is our personal true more.

It's attuning to what feels true and right for us alone and stepping into that innate wisdom and power without any doubt.

I now invite you to join me as I guide you through some gentle affirmations to help you connect to and align with your own inner voice.

Please bring to this practice no expectation.

I will read a series of questions and offer a number of affirmations and all I ask is that you allow them to sit and wash over you.

Don't search your mind for the answers that isn't where you'll find it.

Simply sit with the questions and the affirmations and observe what comes up for you.

Gently now I invite you to settle in.

Feel yourself grounding to the chair,

To the bed,

To the carpet,

Wherever you are.

Allow your body to just feel heavy and relaxed.

Gently release any expectation you were holding about this practice today.

I'll begin with a series of questions and as I said just sit with them.

There is no expectation.

Don't search for an answer.

What do I truly need in this moment?

What does freedom feel like to me?

Where do I shine brightest?

What feels like a meaningful existence to me?

Who do I want to become?

When we remove the external distraction of envy and attune to our own authentic inner voice,

We can make decisions in alignment with our highest self and give ourselves permission to live with freedom.

Continue to sit with whatever comes up as I read for you the following affirmations.

I know what is best for me.

I know who I am and what I value.

My path is my choosing.

I own my freedom.

Your inner intuition already knows what's best for you and you can tap into this wisdom whenever you need when you slow down and create the space to go inward.

Thanks for joining me in this practice today of releasing envy and finding your freedom.

With gratitude,

Alexis.
