We will now begin a meditative journey.
You are walking down a dirt path on a bright sunny day.
Each footstep on the ground path beneath you crunches.
And with each step you feel the warm sun on your skin.
Your skin tingles under the light.
It's like you can smell the dew of the earth coming alive.
Your first spring walk after winter.
The birds are chirping loudly and the dog is cooing steadily.
As you focus on the sounds,
Your thoughts drift away.
You feel light,
Calm.
A deep breath rises within you begging to be taken.
The air fills your stomach,
Your ribs and collarbones before gently releasing.
And your shoulder blades follow your breath down your back body.
The path continues to wind around a corner before returning straight.
To the left of the path is an apple tree.
A lone apple tree in a large meadow.
You feel another deep breath rise within you.
This one fills your stomach and your chest and your collarbones and releases any worry,
Frustration or last remaining thoughts that you may have had within you.
You hadn't intended to end up here but as you walk towards the apple tree,
It feels right.
You sit under the tree,
Spine long,
Crown of head rising,
Chin dipped.
You shift forward and back,
Left and right and find the right position for your head to be over your tailbone.
And once you're comfortable,
A large inhale fills your lungs.
And exhales releasing remaining tension.
You feel a slight vibration coming from the apple tree.
A warm glowing light.
The light comes from the core of the earth and continues through the tree and also continues to come through you,
Through your root chakra.
You relax as you feel the light sink into your body and watch the warm golden light as it travels up your spine,
Relaxing you,
Healing you.
Watching your breath rise and fall if your attention wavers from the light.
You don't have to watch it,
It will still continue to work.
You watch this breath or watch your golden light.
Gently and softly,
The golden light returns to the ground,
To the center of the earth.
You begin to feel your body,
Feeling the apple tree at your back,
The grass beneath your seat.
You deepen your breath and press your hands together.
Tipping your chin,
You will all bow to the divine light within us all.
Namaste.
