This short meditation is meant to give you a quick boost of energy and to provide you with a sense of calm and nourishment for the soul.
For whenever you're feeling out of alignment,
Wherever you are right now and however you feel,
Start by mentally closing the day behind you and entering into the space of your own body and mind.
Turn your gaze inwards and draw your awareness to the point in your body where you sense your breath the clearest.
Resting your attention there ever so gently,
Like a butterfly resting on a flower.
As you enter into this space of stillness,
Become witness to how your body is feeling in this moment,
Allowing the breath to deepen and your body to soften with each exhale.
Visualizing a shower of energy washing away all the tension your body is holding onto,
Allowing you to relax and get more and more comfortable,
Letting go of any worries,
Any to-dos,
And simply arriving in this present moment,
Continuing to follow the gentle movements of your breathing as you in and exhale.
In your mind's eye,
Start to visualize your body being surrounded by a cocoon of energy.
The energy is a bright white energy that is protecting you from all outside disturbances.
See this energy enveloping your whole body,
A light emanating powerfully all around you,
Allowing yourself to recharge with its vibrant power.
Expanding this bright light around you,
Allow it to grow bigger and bigger until it fills the space you're seated in,
Full of bright,
Energetic,
Vibrant light.
Continue to take in the soothing qualities of calmth,
Peace,
Love and healing this light provides you as you remain in stillness,
Connected to your breath.
Whenever you're ready,
Gently start to move the body and allow the energy to move through you,
Slowly arriving back into the body.
As you open your eyes,
You feel nourished,
Full of new energy,
And ready to continue the rest of your day with more sense of ease and power.
