At times of uncertainty,

It's normal to feel anxious,

Scared or stressed.

As human beings,

We like to feel in control of our lives.

But sometimes,

Things arise in life we have no control over.

However,

With uncertainty often comes opportunities.

Our muscles do not grow in strength unless they are put under stress.

Our emotional strength is the same.

While prolonged stress is not good for us,

Shorter periods of stress can create opportunities for new ideas to be born.

The world right now is very divided,

And in great uncertainty,

Our patience is being tested.

Resilience is what is needed to get through these challenging times,

And to overcome obstacles.

It's a strength that can be cultivated.

The human spirit has an incredible capacity for growth and bouncing back when life gets tough.

Being resilient starts with a choice.

A decision.

When you have something to strive for,

Any obstacles that get in your way are easy to surmount when a vision of the future you desire is pulling you forward.

What is the future you are striving for?

What does it look like?

It's okay if you do not have a clear vision right at this moment.

Simply imagining a time where the obstacle you are facing is no longer present.

What would that feel like?

Let's take a moment to imagine this,

And use the following meditation with positive affirmations to support us through challenging moments.

Let's start by taking a slow,

Deep breath in through the nose.

Pause and hold,

And then exhale completely through the mouth.

Draw your attention down to your arms and hands,

Noticing any sensations such as tingling,

Throbbing,

Heat or cold.

Allow the hands to soften,

Your arms to become heavy,

And imagine a small tap at the end of your right thumb.

As you turn open the tap in your imagination,

You feel all tension releasing your body.

With every exhale,

Your body deepens,

Softens,

And becomes more relaxed.

Your body is fully relaxed.

As you close off the outside world and begin to open up,

As you close off the outside world and begin to settle into this meditation,

Silently or out loud repeat the following affirmations.

I have the power to pick myself up again.

I have a history of being a survivor.

I know how to defeat the odds.

I allow doubt to float away from me.

I handle change with ease.

I deserve the life I want.

I have not run out of possibilities.

I can rewrite my story.

I am bent but not broken.

I am unique.

My scars are my armor.

Setbacks can be overcome.

I will keep going.

I know how to call on my healthy support.

I let go of what weighs me down.

Disruption is just a change of energy.

It won't last forever.

My faith has lifted me up before and I can rely on my faith now.

I believe in my abilities.

I am committed to my purpose.

I love how quickly I can adapt to change.

I am supported by the universe.

I have wisdom and strength.

It's okay to not be okay.

Asking for help is a sign of strength,

Not weakness.

I surrender these feelings of overwhelm.

Take a moment to let these positive affirmations sink in.

And remember,

You know that whatever life throws at you,

You have the capacity,

The strength,

And resilience to overcome it.
