Welcome to this gratitude meditation.
Let's balloon the gratitude from deep within us out like a flower opening.
Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Either sitting somewhere with a nice long spine or lying down.
Wherever you are closing down your eyes from the world of seeing,
From the world of looking and beginning to open your inner vision.
And take a deep breath in through your nose and hold that for a moment and then let it out with a sigh,
Allowing yourself to relax.
And see if you can make yourself even five or ten percent more comfortable in the position that you're in,
Making any slight adjustments so that you are the most comfortable that you can be.
And then placing your hands over your heart,
Feel the subtle rhythm of your heartbeat like the soft pulse of life itself.
And whisper to yourself,
I am here to bloom in gratitude.
And then imagine every breath you take as the beginning of a blooming flower.
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Feeling the ear nourish you.
And exhale gently through your mouth or your nose,
Releasing any tension as if you're opening a bud petal by petal.
And inhale fully and exhale any worries or tension,
Other petals that are just slowly falling away from the flower as the rest of it comes into full bloom.
And imagine now that you are walking barefoot through a beautiful garden.
This isn't just any garden,
This is your personal garden of gratitude.
And with each step you take you feel the soft earth beneath you,
Every plant,
Every flower in this garden represents a moment in your life where you can find gratitude.
Pause here for a moment and take a deep breath in and as you exhale look down,
Notice the flower in front of you,
Its petals are closed but as you pick it up gently you feel its warmth.
This flower holds the gratitude of today.
And raising it to your heart as you do the petals begin to open one by one.
What moment of gratitude from today is this flower revealing to you?
Maybe it's something small,
A kind word from a stranger,
A warm drink or a smile that lit up your day.
Holding this flower of gratitude to your heart and whispering aloud thank you.
Let its warmth expand through your chest.
Now you notice there are more flowers in your garden,
Each holding another moment of gratitude.
As you move through your day from morning until now,
Start with your first breath upon waking,
That simple act of aliveness.
Thank you for the gift of waking up today.
And then move to your morning routine.
Maybe you enjoyed a quiet moment,
A delicious breakfast or even the comfort of clean clothes.
Take a moment for that memory and say thank you for this simple joy.
Continue walking through your garden and as you do let every flower reveal another blessing,
Your body,
Your breath,
Your ability to experience this moment right now.
Each time you encounter a flower pick it up,
Feel its warmth and say a heartfelt thank you.
Gratitude doesn't always have to be for the big things.
Let yourself find gratitude for even the smallest details.
Let yourself find gratitude for even the smallest details.
The feel of the sunlight on your skin,
The laughter of a friend,
The softness of your pillow.
Say thank you for these tiny treasures in your everyday life.
And as you've been walking through this garden of gratitude,
Gathering all these flowers into a beautiful bouquet.
This bouquet is a symbol of all the moments you've found gratitude today and the ones you've often overlooked.
And the ones you've often overlooked.
Hold it close to your heart,
Feeling the energy of gratitude flow through your body.
Each flower represents a unique blessing and together they create a vibrant beautiful whole.
As you hold this bouquet,
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up.
For walking through your garden of gratitude with an open heart.
And saying out loud,
Thank you for my willingness to see the good in my life.
And as you hold this bouquet of flowers of your heart,
Full of gratitude from all the seemingly insignificant moments in your day.
You look around your garden and notice that it is filled with so many beautiful flowers already bloomed and so many more waiting to bloom.
Waiting for all the moments of gratitude that are to come.
And for all the moments that you can be grateful for.
And taking a deep breath in through your nose and holding for a moment,
Feeling your heart expand and exhale,
Letting any lingering tension melt away.
And know that this garden of gratitude is always with you.
The flowers,
The blessings,
They are always waiting to be picked,
Noticed and appreciated by you.
When you are ready,
You can open your eyes coming back into this surrounding.
And carry this bouquet of gratitude with you throughout your day.
Knowing that there is always something to be grateful for,
Even in the smallest of moments.
And I invite you to take some time today throughout your day to just pause and find gratitude.
Allowing yourself to actively walk through any moments of your day.
This nourishes yourself,
It uplifts you,
It helps you to realize all the rich opportunities and blessings that are around you in every moment of your day.
Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Namaste.
