This 8-hour Yoga Nidra journey utilizes somatic techniques and the soothing rhythm of tropical rain to guide you into a state of deep, biological rest. You will begin with a lateral eye reset to calm the nervous system before exploring a body sensing practice designed to activate the glymphatic system—the brain's natural 'nightly wash' for clearing emotional and chemical debris. As you transition into sleep, rhythmic chants and mantras gently seed the subconscious to transform stagnant stress into fluid vitality. This practice is specifically designed to be sensation-based and inclusive for those who prefer physical grounding over visualization.

Welcome.

This is Taryn,

And I'm so glad that you're here.

This is Volume 3 of the Wellspring Willow Deep Rest Journey.

The Tropical Threshold.

This practice is inspired by the deep restorative traditions of Yoga Nidra,

And this journey is an invitation into the sacred space between worlds.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to truly craft your sanctuary of support.

Notice the physical textures of your nest.

The blankets,

Sheets,

The temperature of the room.

Sense lingering in the air,

Or taste in the mouth.

Feel the support of Mother Earth beneath your spine,

And the softness beneath your head.

I will be guiding you through a somatic reset and a sensing throughout the physical body to prepare your nervous system for release.

Eventually,

My voice will fade into the dissolving echoes of the sacred chant,

Leaving you cocooned in the tropical rain of this soundscape.

Throughout this journey,

My voice will gently return periodically to seed your subconscious with affirmations of life.

While you rest,

Your glymphatic system,

Your brain's nightly wash,

Will activate.

This is a biological miracle that only occurs in deep stillness.

As you sleep tonight,

The cells in your brain gently shift,

Opening up space for a sacred tide of fluid to rush in and flush away the chemical and emotional debris of your day.

Just as the rhythmic tide of the tropical rain cleanses the Earth,

The shifting echoes of the sacred chant in this recording clear the currents of your mind as these ancient tones undo the old patterns of the past.

Your body physically washes them away by relaxing your jaw and shoulders and softening.

You are opening the gates for this tide to wash in.

You are dissolving the old cycles so that you can emerge fluid,

Present,

And real.

We'll begin by now inviting the nervous system into a state of deep safety and security.

If it feels right,

Invite your awareness to settle into the pelvic bowl,

The space of your lower back and hips.

Simply notice the rhythmic expansion in the center as you join your breath with me,

Inhaling life,

Sensing the lower back widening,

Exhaling fear,

Sensing the subtle softening in the hips,

Inhaling life,

Exhaling fear,

Inhaling life,

Exhaling fear,

Inhale life,

Exhaling fear.

As you inhale life,

You are receiving the vibrancy of this moment.

As you exhale fear,

You are opening the gates for your nightly wash to begin.

Inhale life,

Exhale fear.

When you're ready,

Return to your natural breath.

With your eyes gently closed,

We'll now send a signal to the brain that the horizon is clear,

Safe,

And calm.

Without effort,

Move your gaze behind the lens,

All the way to the left,

Holding for a moment,

And now slowly to the right.

Repeating this simple movement back and forth confirms to your internal alarm system that you are safe to let down your guard,

You are safe to be fluid.

Repeat this a few more times,

And when you're ready,

Allow the eyes and whole body to subtly sink naturally into your pillows,

Your bed,

All the way down to Mother Earth.

As we begin the sensing now,

The scan throughout the physical body,

We're not looking to change or fix anything.

We're simply noticing where energy may feel still,

And we're inviting that energy to meet the fluidity of your natural breath.

Invite your awareness,

Simply with the mind,

To the right side of the body.

Notice the skin on each of the five fingers,

Starting with the thumb,

Noticing the presence,

Acknowledging the stillness,

Safe to be here,

Center of sensation,

The alchemy begins.

Notice the rest of the right arm,

And the extensive curve of the shoulder,

And send your awareness down on each of the five toes,

Free to soften,

Returning to flow.

Sense the physical presence of the right side of the body,

Feeling it drop away to the side of the body,

Starting with the thumb,

Acknowledging the stillness,

Safe to be here,

Center of sensation,

The alchemy begins.

Notice the rest of the left arm,

The hinge of the elbow,

Of the shoulder,

And send your awareness down.

The body knows the way.

Sense the physical presence of the left leg,

Of the left hip,

And the white horizon of the upper back.

Notice any tension that remains,

As a texture,

A feeling,

A movement,

To liquefy and widen The shoulders are a place where we often carry the rigidity of the path,

Feel that rigidity softening,

Washing away with the tropical rain.

With awareness to the front of the body,

Sensing the rise and fall of the pelvic bone,

The of your sacral flow,

With the rhythm of your own breath,

The knotties of your veins,

The center of the throat,

The vibrations,

A vibration from the toes of the feet to the toes of the feet.

As a vessel of alchemy,

Fear is no longer an obstacle,

It's the fuel of your life.

Holding your entire physical shell in your awareness,

We'll begin to sense the ingrained dance of opposites.

First,

Notice if there's any area within you that still feels still.

Perhaps the space of your sacral center.

Don't try to move it or change it,

Simply acknowledge its presence.

This is the feeling,

The texture of what has been held.

This is the signature of fear itself.

Release the stillness of fluidity.

Move your attention to the sound of the rain on the lake,

The rhythmic pulse of the ancient hum,

The rhythmic rise and fall of your breath.

Notice the areas of the body that already feel fluid.

Perhaps it's the pulse in the wrist or the ease within the chest.

This is the feeling,

The texture of life itself.

Slowly invite the stillness to enter back in alongside of the fluidity.

The sensation of stillness meeting fluidity.

Fluidity and stillness together.

Notice how they begin to mingle,

Like warm rain meeting the parched earth.

The stillness isn't disappearing,

It's simply softening,

Liquefying,

Turning into the fluid that carries you forward.

It allows you to dance with life.

The more you receive this transformation,

The more the fear is becoming flow.

You are moving from guarding to receiving,

Embracing to become the engine of our alchemy.

Allow your awareness to stay anchored in the sacral center,

Hips,

Pelvic bone.

If it feels right,

Join your breath with me again in this steady rhythm.

Breathing in life,

Noticing the gentle expansion of your center.

Breathing out fear,

Noticing the subtle softening of the hips.

Breathing in life,

Receiving the vibrancy of this moment.

Breathing out fear,

Realizing the density of what no longer serves your eyes good.

The more you relax,

The more you receive,

The more you soften,

The more you are filled with gratitude,

Dancing with life,

Present,

Authentically you.

Breathing in life,

Breathing out fear,

Noticing how the fear is not pushed away,

It's simply meeting life as it is dissolving into the rhythm of the rain.

As a chant,

You are a complete unbound vessel for this flow.

The more I receive,

As we move into the stillness of the night,

Our work is complete.

The alchemy will continue in the rhythm of your breath and the pause of your heart.

There is nothing left to hold.

There is nothing left to see.

You are simply a part of the flow into the deep restorative waters.

As my voice continues to fade,

Allow the rain to carry away the last remnant and allow the unconditional love and receiving in the sanctuary of the heart.
