Welcome.
This is Taryn,
And I'm so glad that you're here.
For some of us,
The invitation to visualize can feel like a closed door.
But in this space,
We don't need to see the picture.
All we need here is the map of your skin and the weight of your bones.
This is a journey of pure sensation.
Like the owl in the deep woods,
You don't need light to know exactly where you are.
Here,
We're learning to see in the dark,
Making the unconscious racing of the body,
Conscious,
Through the internal compass of your own heart,
Of your own skin.
You are not missing the picture.
You are discovering a tactile depth,
A tactile presence.
Begin to settle into your center.
Feel the weight of your spine,
And notice the space that your body occupies.
Take a deep breath in with me,
Inhaling fully,
And then another short inhale to fill the internal volume of the lungs completely.
I invite you to now choose your foundation for this practice.
Perhaps I am mindfully here,
Or I am steady in my center.
Repeat your chosen foundation three more times,
Silently,
Feeling it seep into your bones.
We'll now begin to clear the slate of the mind with a simple yet powerful movement of the eyes.
So with your eyes closed,
Softly move your gaze all the way to the left,
And now all the way right,
All the way left,
And right,
All the way left,
And right,
Left,
And right.
Sweeping side to side,
Continue this for a few more moments on your own.
Now that the mind is clear,
We'll move on to the foundation.
We will build a map of your territory from the edges inward.
Softly orienting ourselves to the space that our body occupies.
Starting with the right hand,
And each finger on the right hand.
Five.
A crisp vibration.
Four.
Texture of skin.
Three.
Radiant warmth.
Two.
Edge of presence.
One.
The weight of gravity.
Moving across the body to the left side now.
The left hand,
And each finger on the left hand.
Five.
A crisp vibration.
Four.
Texture of skin.
Three.
Radiant warmth.
Two.
Edge of presence.
One.
The weight of gravity.
Down and across the body to the right foot,
And each toe on the right foot.
Five.
A steady hum.
Four.
Point of contact.
Three.
Flowing warmth.
Two.
Clear presence.
One.
Grounded boundary.
And over to the left foot,
And each toe on the left foot.
Five.
A steady hum.
Four.
Point of contact.
Three.
Flowing warmth.
Two.
Clear presence.
One.
Grounded boundary.
Now,
Allow the sensation of awareness to rise up from the feet,
Through the entire body,
Up the legs,
Up the arms,
Merging into the steady core of your being.
Feel the sensation rising like honey.
Thick and warm.
To the center of your heart.
Feeling the volume of the chest.
Allow it to flow through the stunnus of the throat.
To the mouth.
And settling now into the quiet,
Hollow space behind the eyes.
Your physical form is now mapped.
You are a complete,
Tactile territory.
Our bodies often carry a hidden holding.
A quiet bracing against a world that feels too wide,
Too much.
Acknowledge that holding now so that we can learn the way back to ease.
Noticing the holding in the body.
The limbs pulling tight,
Inward.
The internal compass spinning with no true north.
Just observe this feeling without judgment.
Softly allow the holding to drop now and toggle to the bloom.
The compass needle settling.
Settling.
The edges expanding.
Allow the skin to soften.
Settle into this expanded space.
Now invite the holding back in as we'll toggle between these two sensations.
Notice the holding and the bloom.
The holding and the bloom.
The holding and the bloom coming together now in harmony as we arrive in the ash state.
Neutral.
Now I invite you to consider an owl perched in the deep quiet of the dark woods.
The owl exists at the heart of a tactile depth.
Knowing the world behind it just as clearly as the world in front.
It feels the vibration of the woods.
As if the woods are a part of the owl.
The owl a part of the woods.
Within this space,
The owl carries an internal compass.
A steady magnetic pull towards its own center.
You are that center point.
You are a master of total presence.
Breathing in from every direction at once.
This moment is a return to your authentic flow.
