Good morning,
Good evening,
Good afternoon,
Wherever you may be,
Whatever you may be doing,
Hello and welcome,
Welcome to this practice and thank you for showing up for self,
Thank you for showing up.
Today what we're going to do is we're going to dive straight into the practice.
This practice is one which is really designed for you to keep coming back to.
I typically will do a practice for a good seven days straight to really allow it to eke and seep into the corners of my day and the corners of my being and this practice is there to help support and set a strong intention whenever you set out on a new season in life.
Whether that be a new job,
Whether that be a holiday season,
Whether that be the beginning of a new year,
Or just simply the beginning of a new month,
That's what it's designed for.
Before we begin just know that you are held,
You are cared for,
And you are not alone in this moment.
Now let's begin.
We begin by simply allowing your breath to fall into its own natural rhythm.
There's no need to control it.
Feel yourself connected directly to the earth through your feet,
To the surface holding you up if you're lying down.
Let your hands rest easily and allow the body to be held.
What we're going to do today is today we're going to take our time in a garden.
See yourself standing in a garden in the early morning.
The garden can be yours,
A friend's,
One you've seen,
One you've heard of,
One that just comes to life in this moment.
Around the garden are flowerbeds,
Grass,
Behind you a gate that leads into the space.
See yourself standing there,
Barefoot.
The day has just begun.
The air is cool,
Crisp,
Clean.
There's a softness to everything around you.
Feel the grass beneath your feet,
In between your toes.
They're covered in dew,
Small droplets catching the first light of day.
Now begin to walk slowly through the garden.
No destination,
No direction.
Just simply walking.
Just presence.
Each step feels grounding,
Anchored,
Real.
You hear birds beginning their morning song.
Not loud,
Not urgent,
Just alive.
Life is waking up all around you.
And as life wakes,
Remember this.
Yesterday was yesterday.
Tomorrow will be tomorrow.
But today is today and now is now.
This present moment,
This time right now,
This is reality.
This is the only reality that exists.
This very second,
This very word.
It's a reality that always allows peace within it.
The opportunity for it.
The choice of it.
Future.
The future often carries fear.
The past often carries regret.
But within the depth of the present moment lies peace.
In the depth of the present moment lies peace.
Notice the stillness that exists beneath the sound.
That quiet steadiness before the day asks anything of you.
You're not behind.
Nothing needs you right now.
And if it helps,
Imagine removing a heavy back from your shoulders.
One that's been carrying troubles,
Worry,
Woe,
And place it gently on the ground.
Let that weight lift.
Nothing needs fixing.
This moment is already enough.
And as you stand in this garden,
Sense what this season represents.
The one you're moving into.
Not pressure,
Not resolution,
But possibility.
A gentle opening.
Feel it in the body.
A subtle but real readiness.
And deep within the dark,
Warm earth of you,
Notice a seed.
A seed that's willing,
Waiting to be planted.
When planted,
A seed that grows quietly,
Unseen in the dark beneath the surface.
There's a willingness to begin again.
Not through perfection,
Not through pretending,
But through honesty.
Through authenticity.
Through who you are right now.
I'd like you to gently repeat to yourself these following three affirmations.
And use these affirmations throughout your day,
Throughout this season,
To really allow yourself to come back to this space.
Back to the present.
Repeat,
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
And allow these words to settle like juice soaking into the ground into you.
Continue repeating them.
And if it feels right,
Place a hand on the part of your body that's asking for connection.
No need to think about it,
Just place your hand where you feel and are drawn to.
No fixing,
No analyzing,
Just simple contact.
And so often we believe the solution is outside of us.
And yet,
This simple act of self-connection creates a complete circle.
The part within you that lies beneath the warmth of the connection from your palm creates a circuit which moves through your arm into your shoulder and back into your body.
Solution and resolution from internal.
Solution and resolution from self.
This is a complete circle with you,
By you,
Through you.
And let that settle.
And what I'd like you to do now is to quietly and gently identify an intention that you have for this upcoming season.
I want you to name it,
Whatever it is.
I want you to then embody that intention in a seed.
So just sit for a moment and allow that intention to land,
To arrive,
For you to deliberately connect to it.
Whatever it is,
Allow it to embody in that seed.
And I want you to bend down now by a bed in the garden.
Take a hole with your hands.
Feel the coolness.
Smell the richness.
And place that seed in the ground and then cover it up with soil.
Just give it a gentle pat.
And as you do so,
I want you to gently say to yourself what that intention is.
There's no need to explain it.
No need to think about it.
No need to put timelines or plans.
Just say it softly to yourself,
To the earth,
To the morning,
What it is.
And then allow yourself to let it go.
Let it go to the universe,
Let it go to self.
And allow it to happen.
Seeds grow in the dark.
They simply know what to do.
As you stand up from planting your seed,
Notice the quality of the morning light in the garden.
It doesn't rush.
It doesn't demand.
It simply arrives.
Let yourself arrive in the same way.
Take this moment to let gratitude in.
Feel gratitude for one simple thing.
A person,
A place,
A moment,
An opportunity.
Bring that gratitude in now.
And as you do so,
I want you to allow yourself to gently turn the sides of your mouth up into a soft smile.
And allow the warmth of that gratitude to flow through you now.
And as part of that,
Give gratitude for being here.
Gratitude for showing up.
For another meeting.
For another opportunity to meet yourself with care,
Love,
And compassion.
Nothing more is required.
And before we close,
Offer yourself these affirmations.
I'll repeat them once.
There are four.
Let's start.
Today is allowed to unfold.
Today is allowed to unfold.
I begin where I am.
I begin where I am.
Small steps are enough.
Small steps are enough.
At last,
I trust the quiet work happening beneath the surface.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold it at the top,
And then we'll exhale.
So deep breath in,
Hold,
And exhale.
And as you exhale,
Let those affirmations like the seed we planted take root.
And as we come to this practice,
We'll close where we began.
By taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Holding it gently at the top,
And releasing with a soft,
Audible sigh.
Let's begin.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Hold it gently at the top,
And then exhale with a soft,
Audible sigh.
Simply allow everything to settle.
And as we do that,
Let's physically turn within our mind's eye around,
Walk to the gate of the garden,
Open the gate,
And walk out.
We'll take one final deep breath in,
Hold it at the top,
And this time what we're going to do is we're going to take one last gasp of air,
And as we do that,
We will exhale with a loud,
Audible sigh.
And open our eyes.
Inhale through the nose,
Hold it at the top,
One last gasp of air,
And sigh it out.
And open your eyes.
Bring yourself back.
Carry this garden with you through the rest of your day,
Your week,
Whatever season you're entering in.
And remember,
There's no need to watch the seed.
It'll grow.
Just from time to time,
Allow water on it.
Allow that water to come through simple connection with self.
And remember the mantra,
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
My name is Thariromunda Warada.
Thank you for showing up for yourself today.
Thank you for being here.
See you again next time.
