This meditation is there to give you an opportunity to pause,
To anchor in the now and ground you in the present.
It is here to support you in allowing you to have a fresh start to your day and to give you focus on what you are going to achieve today.
So find yourself in a comfortable position,
Either seated,
Lying down.
Close your eyes and let's begin.
Now,
Use your breath to slow everything down,
Consciously lengthen the pause between your inhale and your exhale.
Consciously lengthen your exhale,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in.
Feel the weight of this moment.
Allow your feet to anchor into the floor.
Feel the support of the chair,
The bed,
The cushion.
Feel it lift up and like warrior's arms lift and support you.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold it for a moment and sigh it out.
Now,
Visualize yourself standing on a beach at sunrise.
The golden light gently washes over you,
Illuminating the start of a new day.
Watch as the waves roll in and watch as the waves roll out.
Allow your breath to mirror the rolling in and the rolling out of the waves.
Let it mirror your breath.
Waves in,
Waves out.
Now,
Inhale deeply as if drawing in fresh invigorating ocean air.
Hold it for a moment and exhale slowly.
Releasing any lingering tension,
Any stress,
Allow the calm to come as you exhale.
Feel the sand beneath your feet,
Cool,
Grounding,
Anchoring you to this moment.
As the sun rises higher,
Feel its warmth soaking into your skin,
Energizing you for the day ahead.
Notice the sound of the waves and the gentle cry of seagulls overhead.
Each inhale draws in light,
Warmth,
Energy,
And each exhale releases stress,
Worry,
Concern,
Anything else that simply doesn't serve you.
And as you breathe,
Repeat silently,
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
Take this grounding energy with you throughout the rest of your day.
And know that you can return to this moment throughout the day whenever you need to.
And when you're ready,
In your own time,
Take a final deep breath in.
Roll your shoulders,
Roll your neck,
Exhale and open your eyes.
Refreshed and focused and ready for the day.
