This short yet powerful meditation is a gentle reminder that self-love isn’t about fixing or changing yourself—it’s about seeing yourself clearly, beyond the distortions of doubt and insecurity. Through breath and stillness, you’ll be guided to a peaceful lake, a reflection of your true self, untouched by judgment. As the ripples settle, so too will your mind, allowing you to embrace yourself fully, just as you are. With each inhale, you welcome acceptance; with each exhale, you release the need to change. You are whole, you are enough, exactly as you are in this moment.

Good morning,

Good evening,

Good afternoon,

Wherever you may be,

Whatever you may be doing,

Hello and thank you and welcome to this five minute guided meditation to help you cultivate self-love and acceptance.

Find yourself in a comfortable position and let's begin.

Focus now in on your breath.

Allow your breath to settle into a gentle and calm cadence.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Close your eyes and let your body settle into the moment.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it at the top and exhale through your mouth and as you do so,

Feel the muscles in your body relax,

Releasing any tension.

Now see yourself standing in front of a large still lake.

The surface of the water is calm,

Smooth,

Just like glass,

Reflecting the sky and the trees surrounding it.

Listen to the sounds,

The birds,

The wind.

Take in how it feels,

The calmness,

The stillness.

This lake represents your inner self,

Your true untouched self.

As you gaze into the water,

You see your reflection,

But notice how the reflection begins to change.

Ripples form on the surface of the lake and with them come the images of self-doubt,

Past mistakes,

Insecurities,

Contradictions.

The water,

Once still and clear,

Now distorts your reflection,

Making it hard to see yourself as you truly are.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it at the top and exhale through your mouth and as you exhale,

Allow the ripples to settle.

Rather than trying to fix or force the water to become still,

Simply wait.

Accept the ripples for what they are,

Temporary distortions that do not define you,

That do not make you.

They are just a part of the experience,

But they are not who you are,

They are not you.

With every breath,

Notice that the water begins to calm again.

The ripples slowly fade,

Revealing the clear,

True reflection of yourself once more.

Look into the water and see yourself clearly now,

Without the distortions,

Without the self-judgment,

Without the self-criticism,

Without the insecurities,

Without the fear,

The pain,

The anxiety.

This is your true self,

Calm,

Whole,

Beautiful,

Enough,

Exactly as you are.

I repeat these two affirmations,

One on the inhale and then the other on the exhale.

On the inhale,

I accept myself as I am.

On the exhale,

I release the need to change.

I accept myself as I am.

I release the need to change.

Notice how light and free you feel as you let go of the need for perfection.

There's nothing to fix,

Nothing to change.

You are complete,

You are whole,

You are enough,

Just as you are in this moment.

Inhale deeply,

Filling yourself with love and acceptance.

And exhale slowly,

Releasing any lingering self-doubt.

As we close,

I want you to repeat a single affirmation,

I am.

Allow that to settle and take that with you throughout the rest of your day.

I am.

And remember,

You are whole,

You are worthy of love and acceptance,

Exactly as you are.
