Good morning.

I had to record this this morning not just for those listening,

But for myself in 5 years' time,

For my children in 10 years' time,

My grandchildren in 15 years' time.

I am literally sitting on the edge of the Serengeti,

Lion King country.

And the peace that I feel,

I cannot describe.

Hence I had to record this talk cum meditation.

It's beyond beauty,

It's home.

There's a deep-rooted connection to the earth,

To the animals,

To the people.

And even though this may not be the home or the borders of my home,

Africa is.

So,

What I want you to do now is take a deep breath in and hold it at the top.

And exhale.

And hear the sounds of Africa in the background.

Allow them to settle you into this moment.

And let's begin.

See yourself standing at the edge of the African savannah.

Whatever picture that paints for you,

Just allow that to be where you are right now.

The sun is just beginning to rise.

It hasn't quite yet been able to break through the morning mist,

But you can feel its attempts.

The earth beneath your feet is cold.

But starting to warm.

Not from sun,

But from the energy that is held within it from the day before and the dawn before and the month before.

You hear the calls of birds greeting the morning.

A distant low of a lion.

Everything here is beginning to awake.

And so are you.

This land,

This breath reminds you.

You belong.

You are part of this rhythm.

This pulse,

This story.

With each inhale you draw in the wisdom of your homeland.

With each exhale you return something sacred to the world.

Say gently to yourself.

I am rooted like the baobab.

I am present like the lioness.

I am in flow like the river.

This morning remember.

You do not walk alone.

The earth walks with you.

The universe guides you.

Now take one last breath in.

And allow this peace to sit deep within you.

Anchor yourself into this moment.

This is being present.

Go gently.

You are earth.

You are wind.

You are fire.

You are nature.

You are home.
