This is a short meditation to help you transition effectively from work to home in order to be present for those who matter most.
I recommend you shut down your work completely and close your eyes and take one big,
Deep cleansing breath.
You did enough today.
You did some great work.
Take a moment now and catalog some of that work into your brain and your body.
What were you able to accomplish or move forward?
Think about those things now.
Feel that what you did was enough.
I am doing enough.
I am doing what I can.
I am doing a good job.
Whatever I didn't get done,
It will all be there when I start work again.
Now it's time to put all of that away and be present for those who matter most in my life.
It's time to reset my mind and my body,
Calming down my nervous system that has been on high alert for most of the day.
I'm giving my mind permission to stop swimming in all the tasks and the need to dos.
Take a breath,
A big one.
Stop rushing.
Rushing through life isn't the goal.
Quality life is what I want.
I want to have a healthy connection in time with the ones that matter so much to me.
I remember that my days simply string together to become my life.
I want to create everyday memories that enhance my life.
I want to show up as the mother and the friend and the wife that I want to be.
I want to bring an energy that is playful,
Compassionate,
Fun,
And safe.
I want to be present for myself to experience the amazingness of my kids,
The cute and the funny things they say and do.
I know that I might be triggered back into an emotional state I don't want to be in,
But I know that I can recognize when it has happened.
I can change my thoughts.
I can change my feelings in order to give myself a better chance of creating the life I crave.
This evening,
I can positively contribute to creating the relationships that I will cherish when I look back at 80.
I can have it all,
But I can't do it all.
Right now,
I have an opportunity to realign my energy and my intentions to be more in line with the life I truly want.
So as I imagine this evening,
I know I can choose how to show up to it.
I can put this work away and focus on those I care so deeply about.
So take two final cleansing breaths,
Leaving behind what needs to be left behind for now,
And go pay attention to your life to make amazing everyday memories.
