A gentle space to help you unwind,
Let go of the day and prepare for restful sleep.
Find a comfortable position lying down.
Allow your body to fully rest.
And when you are ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your body.
Notice the weight of your body sinking into the surface beneath you.
There is nothing you need to hold up anymore.
Let your forehead soften.
Relax your eyes.
Unclench your jaw.
Allow your shoulders to drop.
Let your hands rest effortlessly.
Relax your chest.
Let your belly soften.
Let your legs sink,
Your feet completely at ease.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and exhale,
Letting go.
Again,
Inhale gently and exhale,
Releasing the day.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm,
No effort,
No control.
Just allowing the breath to flow.
With each exhale,
Feel your body softening a little more.
Let the exhale be slightly longer than the inhale.
Inhale gently and exhale slowly,
Melting into rest.
If thoughts arise,
That's okay.
Just acknowledge them and let them pass,
Returning softly to the breath.
Now,
Rest in simple awareness.
No need to focus,
No need to follow anything.
Just resting.
If you drift in and out,
That's perfectly okay.
Let yourself be held by this moment.
As we come to the end of this practice,
Know that you can simply drift into sleep from here.
There is nothing more you need to do.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
Let go completely and allow yourself to rest.
