Hi and welcome to this safe space.
I am Jerry,
A certified mindfulness teacher accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.
If you are here,
Chances are that you are holding a kind of ache that words can't quite touch.
The ache that comes when something or someone you loved has changed or left.
Heartbreak has a way of shaking everything we thought was steady.
It pulls us into the past,
Into questions,
Into the quiet heaviness of why.
There are days when it feels like the world keeps moving and you're standing still,
Caught between what was and what isn't anymore.
It's okay to be here,
To not have it all figured out,
To still feel the pull of what you have lost.
But everything,
Every love,
Every season,
Every feeling moves through its own cycle.
What begins,
Changes and what changes,
Teaches.
And sometimes the greatest act of love is learning how to release gently,
Not to erase what was shed,
But to make space for breath,
For light,
For life to move through you again.
Letting go doesn't mean that love disappears.
It means we begin to hold it differently,
Not as something that left us,
But as something that still lives quietly within us.
When we learn to let go,
We don't lose love,
We return to it.
We find it inside ourselves where it is always waiting.
So wherever you are right now,
Find a comfortable position and allow yourself to settle.
You don't need to fix or analyze anything.
You're here to feel,
To breathe and to begin softening around the edges of what hurts.
Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and a long,
Steady exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Letting your lungs fill completely and exhale softly,
Allowing the body to release some of its weight.
Notice where your body is touching the ground or the chair beneath you.
Let yourself feel supported.
Let gravity hold you.
You don't have to hold everything alone.
With each breath,
Sense the body softening a little more,
The shoulders,
The chest,
The belly,
All loosening their grip breath by breath.
Now,
Bring your attention to your heart space,
The center of your chest.
You might even rest a hand there as if to say gently,
I am here with you.
Notice what's present.
There might be heaviness,
Tightness,
Warmth or numbness.
Whatever it is,
It belongs.
Let yourself feel without rushing to change it.
If emotions arise,
Let it move.
Tears,
Warmth,
Even quiet,
They are all signs of healing.
You're not broken.
You're simply human,
Feeling deeply.
Now,
Imagine before you a small glowing light,
A gentle flame that represents your heart.
This light has always been there,
Steady,
Alive and kind.
Around this light,
Imagine a soft mist,
The weight of sadness,
Longing or what might have been.
With each inhale,
See the light grow a little brighter.
With each exhale,
See the mist begin to lift.
You don't need to force anything.
Just breathe and allow what's heavy to rise and dissolve little by little.
You might silently repeat,
Inhale,
Trust,
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale peace,
Exhale what no longer serves.
Keep breathing this way,
Letting the light of your heart become clearer,
Freer and lighter.
Letting go not of the person,
But of the weight you have carried.
Or the stories that keep you from resting in your own love again.
Stay here for a few slow breaths,
Breathing in trust,
Breathing out release.
Now,
Imagine that this light within your chest begins to expand.
Gently radiating through your ribs,
Your shoulders,
Your entire body.
This is love,
Not the kind that depends on someone else's presence,
But the kind that has always lived.
Feel it spread through every cell,
Warm,
Steady and quietly alive.
Rest here for a few breaths.
Let your heart soften,
Let love be what fills the empty spaces.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale and exhale completely.
Bring your hand to your heart again.
Feel the warmth beneath your palm.
That's your aliveness,
Your steady center.
You might say quietly to yourself,
I am safe.
I am healing.
Love still lives within me.
When you are ready,
Begin to bring awareness back to the room.
The sounds around you,
The feeling of the surface supporting you,
The gentle rhythm of your breath.
Slowly open your eyes as if you're seeing the world with softer eyes.
Remember,
Healing doesn't happen all at once,
But each time you breathe like this,
Each time you let go,
Even a little,
You make room for love to return in its truest form.
As you come back to the present moment,
Know that the love you have lost isn't gone.
It's transforming,
Finding new ways to live through you.
Thank you for allowing yourself to pause,
To feel,
To breathe.
Be gentle with yourself in the days ahead.
May you walk forward with a heart that remembers but no longer clings.
