Welcome to this meditation designed to guide you towards non-attachment,
Helping you find balance in the face of life's impermanence.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Either on a chair or on the floor.
Close your eyes gently,
Rest your hands on your knees,
And begin to settle into stillness.
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
And exhale,
Letting go.
Allow your breath to become smooth and natural.
Feel your body supported by the surface beneath you.
Ground yourself in this present moment.
Notice how you're breathing without effort,
Without control.
Simply let your breath flow.
Now,
Shift your awareness to your thoughts.
Without judgment,
Observe them.
Notice them rising,
Passing,
And falling away.
There is no need to hold on to them.
Just like clouds in the sky,
Watch your thoughts drift.
Feel the spaciousness that exists between each thought,
Each breath.
Now,
Imagine yourself holding a small stone in your hand.
This stone represents something you're attached to,
Whether it's an idea,
A person,
An outcome,
Or a feeling.
Feel the weight of this attachment in your hand.
Notice how tight your grip is.
Take a moment to reflect on the nature of this attachment.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to loosen your grip.
Feel the tension in your hand and your heart ease as you start to release it.
Visualize now that this stone begins to dissolve,
Becoming lighter and lighter,
Until it turns into a wisp of air and disappears into the vast sky.
Let it go.
Feel the release.
Shift your awareness inward and reflect on the things that you identify with.
Your roles,
Your positions,
Your achievements.
Now,
Gently remind yourself,
I am not these roles.
I am not these things.
They are part of my experience,
But they are not me.
As you breathe in,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I let go of all that I cling to.
I trust in the flow of life.
Feel the lightness in your body and mind as you unburden yourself from attachments.
The more you release,
The more space you create for peace and clarity.
Bring your awareness to the truth of impermanence.
Everything in life is constantly changing.
People,
Experiences,
Emotions,
They come and go.
Nothing is permanent.
Let this awareness bring you a sense of freedom.
Realize that attachment only binds you to suffering,
While letting go allows you to move with life,
Not against it.
As you breathe in,
Say to yourself,
I am here in this moment,
Free from attachment.
I embrace the flow of life.
Allow yourself to sit in this spacious awareness for a few moments.
Notice the peace that arises from non-attachment from being present in the moment.
Gently bring your awareness back to the room,
To the surface beneath you.
Slowly open your eyes and carry the sense of release and freedom into your day.
