Welcome to your daily morning meditation,
A gentle space to begin your day with stillness,
Clarity and presence.
Take a moment to arrive.
Allow your body to settle whether you are seated or lying down.
Gently close your eyes and begin by noticing your breath just as it is.
There's no need to change anything.
Just observe.
Bring your awareness to your body.
Notice the points of contact,
Your body meeting the ground or the chair.
Relax your face.
Unclench your jaw.
Soften your shoulders.
Let your hands rest naturally.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and a gentle exhale.
Again,
Inhale and exhale,
Letting go of any heaviness.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice where you feel it most at the nose,
The chest.
Or the belly.
Just stay with the natural rhythm of your breathing.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring it back to the breath.
No judgment,
Just returning.
Each inhale,
An invitation to be here and each exhale,
A soft release.
Now begin to notice your thoughts.
Not getting involved,
Just observing them.
Like clouds passing through the sky.
You don't need to follow your thoughts or push them away.
Just watch and gently return to the breath.
You are not your thoughts.
You are the one who is aware.
Rest in that awareness.
Now bring a gentle awareness to your heart.
Ask yourself softly,
How do I want to feel today?
There is no need to force an answer,
Just notice what arises.
Maybe it's calm,
Clarity,
Ease or joy.
Let that feeling settle in your body.
Now slowly bring back movement to your body.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Take a deep breath in and exhale fully.
And whenever you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
