Find a comfortable seat.

For this practice,

You may be more comfortable supported in a chair or seated upright on the floor.

But remember that lying down on your back with knees bent or legs stretched out in front of you are also available positions.

For now,

Feel free to rest your hands wherever they are comfortable.

We will ask them for their wisdom later on.

Take a few moments here to arrive in your space,

Arrive in your body.

Notice how your weight is received by the surface beneath you.

Tune into your breath,

Not changing anything,

But simply noticing.

Notice the tempo of your breathing.

Notice where in the body the breath lands.

Notice if your breath seems to catch anywhere during its cycle,

Or if it flows smoothly in and out.

Continue to let the breath be an anchor to turn the attention from the external to the internal.

As you breathe,

Wherever you are,

Place your right hand on your forehead,

Placing also the left hand over the heart.

Rest here.

Notice the sensation of your hands against your body.

Tune in as best you can to the internal channel between the hands.

Allow the mind and the heart to touch,

Letting the left hand remain on the heart.

Shift your right hand to your belly.

Arrive in this new position,

And again,

Start to notice the internal connection highlighted by your hands.

Head to heart,

Heart to belly.

Letting the hands rest on the external boundary of your being as a cue to begin listening to the wisdom within.

Allow your awareness to further permeate within your physical boundary.

Begin to let your attention wander about the body,

Noticing places that feel calm,

Areas that are tense.

Become aware of the range of comfort and discomfort that exists within you,

But feel encouraged that you do not need to change anything at this time.

Without judgment,

Simply see.

Simply feel.

As you find an area of discomfort in the body,

Simply sit and attend and say,

I see you.

As you continue to scan,

Though you may find several areas of comfort or discomfort,

You may find a particular area in the body that is calling out for attention more than others.

Trust this intuition.

Sit quietly and listen.

Perhaps it's the tension in your lower back,

The itch on your foot,

The racing mind.

Perhaps you find your attention urged toward a particular place in the body that offers no nameable sensation.

Wherever you feel called to turn your focus,

Just be there.

Notice.

Appreciate your body's wisdom.

Taking some time here to simply listen and perhaps even learn from this piece of your physical being.

Keeping your focus on this part of you that calls for nurturing today.

Prepare your hands for healing work by rubbing them together.

Allow them to generate some heat and cultivate the assistance of the divine energy of the universe above.

Place the right hand a few inches away from the body,

Hovering above the piece of you that is asking for healing today.

If you have struggled to identify a specific area of the body,

Your heart or your true core and midline along the belly are excellent places to send healing energy that may inform the body as a comprehensive system.

You might also find it appropriate,

If your needs rest on the back of your body,

To hover your hand over the corresponding place on the forebody while continuing to focus your attention on the back.

Place also your left hand an inch or two behind the right,

Opposite your body.

Maintain your awareness on the place in the body that you would like to send healing energy today and settle in.

Feel healing energy emanating from the right hand traveling into your body.

It might help to imagine a beam of light or a gentle wind streaming out of the palm of the hand and toward the body.

Imagine too,

Any negative energy or blockages being pulled out by the left hand.

Divine light in,

Blockages out.

Allow the back of the right hand to act as a barrier,

Protecting you from any negative energy re-entering your being.

Divine light in,

Blockages out.

Allow the hands to do the work.

Allow the breath to move as needed throughout this process.

It can be deep.

It can be light.

You may purse your lips and blow as if blowing out a candle,

Perhaps producing a hissing sound on your exhale.

Maybe you maintain your natural rhythm.

Continue to let the energy flow through the hands and allow your intuitive wisdom to inform how the breath supports your healing.

Relax and focus.

Remain open to receive.

Your hands and this practice are available to you always.

Divine energy is around you at all times.

Ready to heal.

Ready to attune.

Follow your intuition to know when things have shifted and you are ready to release this practice.

Return here often and your intuition will strengthen.

Your understanding of where to offer healing energy and how long to stay will grow with time.

You might find that in the beginning stages,

Focusing on one area of the body is enough.

For more advanced practitioners,

You might follow your inner guide to a second or even third area of the body in a single session.

Today you are invited to remain where you are as long as needed.

You are the wisdom.

You are the key to your own healing.

When the time comes for you to conclude this practice,

You are encouraged to drink some cool water and perhaps even rinse the hands or the face.

Take care of yourself.
