Find a comfortable seat.
You can choose to sit on the floor or in a chair.
Find a place to sit where you can be upright with a long spine.
Take a moment in your place to adjust,
To wiggle.
To take a moment and grab any props that will help support your body in its upright position.
And then arrive.
Notice your bottom resting into the surface beneath you.
Notice where your arms are resting and the positioning of your legs.
And then call your attention to your breath.
Notice the sensation of air flowing in and out of the nose.
You might notice if the air is warm or cold.
You might have just a little tickle on the skin right at the tip of your nose.
Or you might feel the air coming in either side of your nose.
You're invited to imagine a line running up from your nose into the brain at the top of the head.
And circling around the back of the head,
Down the neck,
Behind the heart,
And following the rest of the spine all the way into your seat.
Resting underneath and up the front of the body,
Past your belly button,
Your sternum,
Up your neck,
And eventually finding its end point back at your nose.
Following on this line that circles and swirls around your being.
And beginning to notice the breath following this path.
Notice the air comes in,
Traveling up,
And collecting all of the thoughts that do not serve you today.
Wiping them away,
Circling around,
And collecting any negativity that sits behind the heart today.
Continuing its path,
Absorbing any muscle tension.
And notice as you get to that point where the energy wants to come back up and head towards the nose.
That not only you continue collecting what doesn't serve you today,
But allowing that breath to push out all of these things you've been able to sweep away.
Breathing in,
Letting that air circulate up and around,
Carrying with it all negativity.
And exhaling up and out,
Letting the universe take with it everything that you would not like to carry today.
Breathing up and around,
And exhaling up and out.
Inhaling to clear away,
Exhaling to let go.
Continue this practice on your own time.
I will watch the clock while you sit,
Breathe,
And watch prana and universal life force cleanse your body and your soul.
At the end of your next exhale,
Return to your natural breath.
While you release the practice,
Release that which does not serve you.
Release tension,
Release effort,
Release worry.
If you return to this practice again and again,
You will feel that chi begin to strengthen,
Begin to circulate more evenly.
Thank you for breathing with me today.
I hope to see you again.
Namaste.
