Hi Resilient Sunshine!
Thank you so much for joining me today for a gratitude practice.
Before we begin,
I invite you to find a comfortable position to settle in.
That's right.
And I'd recommend to stay seated for this one as opposed to laying down.
Just to be fully present with this moment and prevent you from drifting off a little too much.
We want to be fully conscious here and take the time to acknowledge that even when things go super fast in our lives and sometimes pile up not to what was expected,
There is still a moment where we can direct our focus to things that we are grateful for.
Finding goodness in the little things can be very powerful and very nourishing to our soul.
So as we begin,
Make sure to wiggle in your place and that you're happy with your position.
I invite you to close your eyes,
If that feels giving of course,
And just focus on your breath.
Without being in control,
Just letting the breath come in and out at your own rhythm.
Take this moment to feel the peace getting invited in your body.
And you know,
You might have been rushed before this,
And that's okay.
Just right now,
You've found yourself in a comfortable position.
You showed up for yourself.
I think this is where we can start being grateful for,
You know?
Thank yourself for being here.
Carving this moment to re-center.
That's right.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
We're going to take a few more deep breaths in and out,
Just full of gratitude.
Like you want to fill your body with a breath of gratitude.
And we don't want this gratitude to ever go away.
We're just circulating the gratitude across our body,
On your belly,
To your chest,
To the top of your head and back down.
You just want to be very present with your breathing and your body.
And it's okay if your mind is drifting.
That's okay.
It's perfectly normal.
Just bring your attention back to your breathing,
So you can revert back to normal.
I invite you to just right there,
Think of somewhere that you're grateful for today.
It's the place.
It can be your home.
It can be where you are right now.
Somewhere that allows you to feel at peace or safe.
Or maybe somewhere that just makes you happy.
You know,
A place of encounters.
But somewhere you are particularly very grateful for.
Somewhere that you're grateful to be able to go to or visit.
Can it be a seaside if you like by the sea?
Can it be the mountains,
Nature,
A park?
Or is it the gym?
Is it a friend's place?
Try to picture that place,
You know.
Picture the walls,
The building,
Or if it's nature,
What's around you,
What's the landscape when you're there?
You know,
Just get a sense and a feel of that place.
Invite it to join you in this moment.
Just to fill those gratitude juices like flowing and really expanding all around you.
What makes you so grateful about this place?
Is it about what it makes you feel?
What does it make you feel?
Is it empowering?
Is it calming?
Does it help you connect with yourself or with others?
What makes this space so special to you,
So giving?
Sometimes we tend to think,
Take things for granted.
Places,
People,
Our body,
Our health.
And taking a moment like this to focus on what we have as opposed to what we don't.
Is a practice that can be very important.
So sit with it a little longer.
Sit with the gratitude towards this place.
Maybe it's somewhere you visited on holiday.
Maybe it's just a monument that really welcomed you for that moment and made you live an experience like you never had lived before.
Just embrace that and be grateful to have lived.
I'm grateful.
I am deeply grateful.
Yes.
You don't need to dwell on things for hours.
Sometimes just a few minutes of this gratitude can change your entire perspective and your entire day.
So I'd like you to take a final opportunity to thank yourself for giving yourself permission to take this break and pause and focus on this giving moment.
It's not always easy.
So thank you,
Thank yourself.
Thank yourself and take a deep breath in and out again.
Start inviting movement in your body.
Moving your hands,
Your wrists,
Your shoulders.
Perhaps try to extend a massive smile on your face.
Ah.
And when you are ready,
Please enjoy the rest of your day with love and resilience.
Thank you.
