Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And out through your mouth.
In,
And out.
In,
And out.
I'd like you to picture your safe space.
A place that feels safe to you.
And when you're ready,
Picture some stairs.
Walk down the stairs.
And when you reach the door at the bottom,
You open the door,
And it's your very own safe space.
And as you're in there,
You look over,
And you see your inner child.
What are they doing?
What are they wearing?
Maybe you can't see them,
And that's okay.
What could you say to them to make them feel safe,
Reassured?
Give yourself some time to observe.
And when you're ready,
Walk over to them.
What would they like to tell you?
You might want to ask them,
When was the first time you felt unseen,
And heard?
When was the first time you felt trauma,
Unloved,
Scared,
Alone?
Put your hands out.
Hold their hands.
Look into their eyes.
Breathe in to the top of your head.
And breathe out your mouth,
Dropping into your heart.
Imagine bright white light shining in your heart.
Watch it burst out of your heart and connect to your inner child's heart.
Feel the love,
The safety,
The connection.
Feel it healing both of you.
Feel yourself as one.
Melting away all the fears,
All the masks,
Barriers,
Beliefs that no longer serve you.
Watch the white light immerse both of you.
Creating a bubble of safety,
Of love,
Of healing.
And ask your inner child,
Is there anything you need right now?
And with that,
Put your arms around them.
And watch them shrink as small,
As small as possible.
And land in your heart.
And let them know you will be back soon.
Breathe in.
And sigh out.
And when you're ready,
Walk through the door and back up the stairs.
Knowing that you can go back there whenever you need.
