Sit down and get comfortable.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Pause,
And then release along with any tension you are carrying.
And another deep breath in,
Pause,
And out through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
And one more time,
A big deep breath in,
Pause,
And breathe out,
Letting everything go.
Imagine yourself sinking into the surface below.
Now connect with your feet.
Imagine you have roots growing from the bottom of your feet.
Imagine your roots going deeper and deeper into the ground.
Imagine you're connecting with the earth.
When you feel like you are safe,
I want you to quietly say to yourself,
I am grounded.
I am safe.
Take some time to feel your connection as you continue to say to yourself,
I am grounded.
I am safe.
Now,
When you're ready,
Slowly start moving your feet and hands.
Maybe your body will want to stretch or move.
Please honour those feelings.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
