Hello,

My name is John Steen.

I'm a Certified Energy Healing Practitioner.

This meditation is for those who feel marginalized in the workplace,

Whether you are an LGBTQ plus person,

A person of color,

Or both.

I want you to know that I understand and have been in your shoes many times over my career.

It's crucial to acknowledge that marginalized individuals often have to work harder to be recognized and taken seriously.

I know how awful this feels.

These feelings can include frustration,

Isolation,

And exhaustion.

The constant efforts to prove yourself can lead to anxiety and self-doubt.

The lack of recognition and support may leave you feeling undervalued and invisible.

The pressure to fit in or conform to standards that don't acknowledge your unique identity can be overwhelming and disheartening.

You might feel anger at the injustices you face and sadness at the lack of understanding from those around you.

There can be a deep sense of wariness from having to educate others about your experiences and yearning for true acceptance and equality.

The emotional toll can be significant,

Impacting your well-being and sense of self-worth.

Despite these challenges,

It's important to remember that your perseverance and resilience are powerful.

Your presence and contributions matter.

You bring invaluable perspectives and strengths to your workplace.

Take this moment to honor your journey,

Recognizing the courage it takes to navigate these difficulties and continue moving forward.

Allow yourself to feel the full range of your emotions and remember that you deserve respect,

Recognition,

And a sense of belonging.

So let's get started.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Allowing your body to be fully supported by the surface beneath you.

Close your eyes and turn your attention inward.

Establish the witness and find that space of neutrality within.

Relax your shoulders,

Relax your neck,

Relax your jaw,

Relax your face muscles,

And relax your head.

And we'll start with some breath work.

With each breath,

Feel your body becoming more relaxed and your mind more at ease.

Take a deep breath into your head,

Into your brain.

Big exhale.

A deep breath into your chest,

Into your heart space.

Big exhale.

Deep breath into your belly.

Big exhale and deep breath into your pelvis,

Into your hips.

Big exhale.

Exhale all the way down your legs through the bottom of your feet,

Grounding yourself into Mother Earth by using your Earth Star Chakra that sits below your feet,

About a foot,

Foot and a half.

Now,

Sense the rhythm of your breathing,

The rise and fall of your chest,

And allow yourself to become fully present in this moment,

Letting go of any distractions or concerns.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Bring your awareness to the challenges you face in the workplace.

Acknowledge the extra effort you put in,

The barriers you encounter,

And the times you have felt overlooked or undervalued.

It's okay to feel the weight of these experiences.

Allow yourself to feel whatever emotions arise,

Without judgment or reason.

Acknowledge the strength and resilience that has brought you to where you are today.

Despite the obstacles and biases you face,

Your hard work and dedication are testaments to your character and capabilities.

See if you can sense into your body and identify where those challenges reside when you experience them.

Imagine a warm golden light surrounding you,

Enveloping you in a cocoon of safety and acceptance.

This light is a source of comfort and healing.

As it surrounds you,

Feel its warmth and reassurance.

This is a space where you are valued for who you are and recognized for your contributions.

In this safe golden light,

Take a moment to reflect on your journey.

Think about the strengths and qualities that have brought you here.

You are resilient,

You are capable,

And you have overcome many obstacles.

Each step you have taken is a testament to your courage and determination.

Remember that your unique perspective is invaluable.

The diversity that you bring to the table enriches the workplace,

Fostering innovation and empathy.

Although it may seem like an uphill battle,

Your efforts contribute to creating a more inclusive and understanding environment for everyone.

Now,

Silently repeat these affirmations to yourself.

I am worthy.

My work is valuable.

I deserve respect and recognition.

I am strong,

Capable,

And deserving of respect.

My work and voice matter.

I will continue to rise above challenges and make a difference.

Visualize a small glowing light within your chest.

This light represents your inner strength and the unique qualities that make you who you are.

See it growing brighter and more powerful.

This light cannot be diminished by internal circumstances or the perceptions of others.

It is your inherent power,

Your truth.

Imagine this light expanding,

Filling your entire body with a sense of strength and purpose.

See it radiating outwards,

Touching every part of your being.

This light is your source of resilience and confidence.

As this light expands,

Visualize it extending beyond your body,

Creating a protective aura around you.

This aura shields you from negativity and bias,

Allowing you to stand strong and true to yourself.

You are a beacon of strength and determination,

Inspiring others with your presence.

In this state of empowerment,

Reflect on the impact you have made and continue to make.

Your efforts,

Though sometimes unseen,

Contribute significantly to your workplace and the world around you.

You are making a difference and your work matters.

Take a few moments to bask in this feeling of empowerment and recognition.

Feel the golden light and your inner strength bolstering you,

And take a few more deep breaths.

And as you exhale,

Slowly open your eyes.
