Get comfortable and let your hands rest open,
Palms facing upwards.
This is a small and powerful gesture.
Hands open means ready to receive.
Notice if there is any impulse to close them or to fold them or to hold on.
That impulse is interesting.
Don't judge it.
It's the part of you that's learned to manage rather than receive.
So for now,
Just let the hands stay open and we'll breathe just quietly for a few seconds.
I want to ask you something just gently.
When you imagine good things coming to you,
Really good things,
Abundance or love,
Ease,
Unexpected support,
When you picture these things in your mind,
What happens in your body?
For many of us,
There is a subtle tightening,
A disbelief or a voice that says,
Yes,
But,
Or that's not really for me,
Or maybe I'll believe it when I see it.
I'll ask you again and just pay attention to what feelings and thoughts rise up straight away.
When you imagine good things coming to you,
What happens in your body?
This is the place we're working with today.
Not the wanting,
Because the wanting is already there.
The receiving,
The willingness to let it in.
You can breathe into whichever bit of your body felt maybe tightened or constricted.
Maybe there was a subtle shift,
A tension,
Or maybe it was just words of disbelief rising up.
We're going to work on softening the resistance.
So bring your attention to your chest,
The area around your heart,
And imagine there is a door there.
Not dramatic and large,
Just a door.
And for a long time,
It's been held slightly closed.
And it's not because you're broken or defensive,
But because you learn to protect this space,
Because open things can be hurt.
And today,
Right now,
You're not being asked to fling the door wide open.
You're just being invited to ease it just a little,
Just a centimeter,
Just enough to let a thread of light in.
And notice how it feels just to open up that little something in your chest.
Is there relief or maybe nervousness and uncertainty?
Maybe there's grief.
Let whatever it is just be there.
It's not in the way of the practice.
This is the practice.
And now gently imagine abundance as a quality of light.
That's the light that's streaming in through your open door.
Golden and warm,
Not too bright.
Imagine it simply existing in the space around you,
Not demanding anything,
Just available.
And with each breath in now,
Imagine drawing just a little of that light into your chest,
Into that soft space behind the door.
Let it be easy.
Let it just be gentle.
You're not earning this.
You're just allowing it.
And if the mind says you do not deserve this,
Or this is silly,
Or nothing's actually changing,
Simply notice that thought,
Set it gently to one side,
And return to the breath.
The thought is not you.
It's old weather passing through.
Just keep breathing at your own pace,
And keep receiving that light one breath at a time.
I'm going to give you some affirmations for receiving.
And you can either repeat them out loud or in your head,
Or you can simply let my voice settle into your energy field.
I am worthy of receiving good things.
I release the need to earn what is already mine.
I let life be generous with me.
I am open.
I am ready.
I receive.
Gently,
Whenever you're ready,
Let your awareness return to the room.
And as you open your eyes,
Keep your hands open too,
For just a moment longer.
Let the body remember what receiving feels like.
I wish you a day full of abundance.
Thank you so much for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
