Welcome to this meditation for the moon transiting through cancer.
This time is nurturing and intuitive.
It's time for tuning into your feelings and tending to your heart.
So make yourself cozy and comfy.
Snuggle up safe and warm.
Relax peacefully.
Feel the air on your skin.
Let your eyes close softly and take a deep breath in through the nose and a long soothing exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale comfort and exhale tension.
Let your breath settle into a slow natural rhythm like waves gently lapping the shore.
With every breath allow yourself to soften and relax.
Allow yourself to come home to your body.
Allow yourself to rest.
Imagine the Cancer Moon shining above you,
Round and luminous,
Watching you with love.
It's light is golden,
Soft and enveloping,
Moonlight reflected on water.
Feel this light flowing towards you,
Wrapping around you like a protective blanket.
It knows what you need.
It holds you as you are.
Say to yourself,
I am safe here.
I am held.
I am allowed to feel everything I feel.
Let this nurturing moonlight seep into your heart,
Your belly,
Your whole body.
Allow yourself to relax into it.
And now gently turn your attention inward.
Let your awareness settle into your heart.
And ask yourself,
With compassion,
How am I really feeling right now?
What emotion have I been carrying,
Perhaps quietly,
Beneath the surface?
What does my heart most need in this moment?
There's no need to solve or fix anything.
Just allow space for the feeling.
Be with it like you would be with a child.
Beloved and kind,
Present and patient.
Let your emotions move like tides.
Let them rise and fall.
You are not your feelings.
You are the container,
The ocean that holds them all.
Now imagine you're inside a safe and sacred space.
A cottage,
A seashell,
A soft bed,
Or a temple of light.
Whatever resonates and feels most comforting to you.
You are surrounded by warmth,
Softness,
And quiet.
This is your inner sanctuary.
In this space,
Whisper to yourself,
I am my own home.
I trust my intuition.
I nurture myself with love and care.
Breathe into this feeling of homecoming.
Of being enough,
Just as you are.
Let it anchor into your body.
Into your chest,
Your belly,
Your whole nervous system.
Let yourself rest here.
While remembering that you can come back to this place at any time.
Bring yourself slowly back to your body now.
With the knowledge of this safe space deep inside you.
Hold on to that feeling of safety and inner nourishment.
Say,
I honor my feelings as sacred.
I give myself the care I so often give to others.
I carry the light of the Cancer Moon within me.
Soft,
Wise,
And strong.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
And perhaps consider following this with a nurturing activity.
A warm bath.
Comforting food.
Or connecting with someone who feels like home.
