I invite you to tap with me for cancer season.
Cancer season begins at the solstice.
Longest day.
Moment when the light turns and begins its slow return to darkness.
We stand at the threshold between the outer world and the inner one,
Feeling everything.
And knowing that the tender,
Undefended heart is both the most vulnerable and the most powerful thing you carry.
Cancer is the sign of hope.
Of family.
Of emotional memory and deep belonging.
The knowledge that to love something fully is to risk being changed by it.
It is also a sign that is often told it feels too much.
It is too sensitive.
To easily hurt.
Too attached.
Too soft.
But here is what that criticism misses.
Cancer's depth of feeling is not a weakness to overcome.
It is the very thing that makes these people extraordinary carers,
Extraordinary creators.
And extraordinary connectors.
The world needs people who feel things fully.
And cancer season is the invitation to stop apologizing for being one of them.
This session works whether you're a cancer sun,
Moon,
Or rising,
Have strong cancer or water placements,
Or you simply want more emotional safety,
Tenderness,
And belonging in your life in this season.
So I'm going to lead you through the tapping points.
Just tap gently with two or three fingertips,
Maybe five to seven times on each point.
And if you've got it in roughly the right place,
That's absolutely fine.
You can't get this wrong.
So I'm going to repeat the statements and you can either repeat them after me out loud or in your head.
Or you can simply let my voice carry the energy for you.
So before we begin,
Check in with yourself.
Bring to mind where you feel any emotional overwhelm.
Or fear of being too much.
When you feel any longing for safety and belonging.
And give that feeling a number from 0 to 10,
Where?
Zero is feeling completely at ease.
And 10 is feeling very uncertain.
The first number that comes to mind is absolutely fine.
Again,
Don't overthink it.
Just hold that in your head and then we'll come back to it later.
So we'll start with a karate chop point at the side of the hand.
Even though I sometimes feel too sensitive for the world.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I've learned to hide how much I feel in order to protect myself.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though belonging has sometimes felt just out of reach.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
And now we're going to acknowledge the tenderness within us.
So come to your eyebrow,
The inner eyebrow point.
I feel things deeply and sometimes overwhelmingly.
And there the side of your eye.
I've been told that it's too much.
Underneath your eye.
So I learned to hide it.
Manage it and contain it.
Under your nose.
Always taking care of everyone else's feelings.
On your chin.
While quietly longing to be taken care of too.
On your collarbone.
I give so much.
Under your arm.
Sometimes I forget I'm allowed to receive.
From the top of your head.
I honor how much I feel.
It is not a flaw.
And we're going to start round two to reclaim some of your emotional wisdom.
Come back to your inner eyebrow point.
My sensitivity is not a weakness.
The side of your eye.
It is a form of intelligence the world desperately needs.
Underneath your eye.
I feel things others miss.
And that is a gift.
Underneath your nose.
I'm allowed to need what I need.
On your chin.
I am allowed to ask for help.
On your collarbone.
The love I give so freely is something I also deserve.
And to your arms.
I create safety for others.
I can create it for myself too.
And the top of your head.
I am allowed to be held.
Not just a hole.
Now for our final round to embody that cancer energy.
Back to your eyebrow point.
I am deeply intuitive and emotionally wise.
The side of your eye.
I create warmth and belonging wherever I go.
Underneath your eye.
My home in every sense is a sanctuary.
Under your nose.
I love fiercely and I am fiercely loved.
On your chin.
I trust my intuition.
It has never let me down.
On your collarbone.
I give myself the same tenderness I give to everyone else.
And your arms.
Cancer season is my invitation to come home to myself.
The top of your head.
I can come home to myself anytime I need.
I am safe.
I am love.
And I belong.
Check back in with yourself now.
Take a deep breath.
Allow everything to settle in within you.
And just gently ask if that number from 0 to 10 has shifted at all.
Any shift is significant no matter how small.
Even one point of movement is your nervous system responding.
And I invite you to use this session whenever you feel the need to reconnect with your cancer wisdom.
Whether that's during cancer season or at the opposite time of the year.
Thank you so much for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
