Welcome to your space and welcome yourself to the space that you've created for yourself.
Take a moment to acknowledge your own presence here.
Breathe gently,
Noticing your breath but without changing anything.
Notice your posture,
How you're sitting or lying in the space.
Allow your physical body and your mind to rest here.
Allow yourself to settle away from whatever you've been doing up to this point.
If your mind drifts,
That's okay.
Just gently bring yourself back and begin to consciously breathe now.
Breathe to your own rhythm.
Breathe in gently and breathe out slowly.
And each time,
Try to make your out-breath a little longer than your in-breath.
You don't need to do or be anything else at this moment.
Nothing is required of you.
Just breathe in and breathe out a little longer.
And each time you do this,
You're helping your nervous system to re-regulate,
To give you a sense of peace and calm within your body.
And remember,
As you go about your day,
Your evening,
As you step back into whatever you needed to take a few minutes away from,
Know that your breath is always with you.
You can always choose to breathe in and breathe out a little longer.
And no matter what is going on around you,
This reminds your body that you're safe.
Keep breathing in this way for as long as you need to,
In the peace and silence that follows this.
