Hello everybody,
I'm Annamarie Viviers.
Today I want to talk about something I get asked all the time,
Reiki and chakras and more specifically how Reiki helps balance your chakras in real and practical ways.
Now if the word chakras already makes you feel a bit unsure or squeamish or like it's too spiritual don't worry,
I promise I'm going to explain this in very human,
Very everyday language.
No need to know Sanskrit words or wear crystals to understand what this means.
Think of this as understanding how your energy system responds to stress,
Emotions and life and how Reiki gently helps bring things back into balance.
So what are chakras actually?
Let's start simply.
Your chakras are energy centers in your body.
You can think of them like energy hubs,
Maybe even emotional power points.
Each chakra is linked to certain emotions,
Certain light beams and even physical areas in your body.
For example,
If you are feeling unsafe,
Anxious or constantly worried about money or survival,
That often links to the root chakra.
Struggling to speak your truth or feeling unheard maybe,
That's commonly the throat chakra,
Literally situated at your throat.
Always putting others first and feeling emotionally drained,
That often sits in the heart chakra.
When life happens,
And boy does life happen,
Stress,
Trauma,
Grief,
Burnout overwhelm,
These energy centers can become a blocked or overactive or possibly worst-case scenario even depleted.
And that's where Reiki comes in.
So what does Reiki really do?
You're probably going to ask now.
Reiki is gentle,
Non-invasive energy healing.
There's no forcing,
There's no pushing,
There's no fixing you.
During a Reiki session,
Your body is actually doing the work.
Reiki simply supports your natural ability to rebalance itself.
When Reiki flows through the chakras,
Areas that are overactive start to calm down.
Areas that are under active gently receive more energy.
Emotional tension begins to soften.
The nervous system shifts out of fight or flight.
People might say things like,
I didn't even realize how tense I was until I felt my body actually relax.
That's Reiki balancing the energy system from the inside out.
How does Reiki balance each chakra?
Let me give you a couple of real-life examples because this is always where it really clicks.
Root chakra,
Your base chakra at the base of your spine.
If you've been feeling anxious,
Unsettled or like you're constantly on edge,
Reiki helps ground your energy.
People often leave feeling safer,
Calmer and definitely more present in their bodies.
Vacral chakra,
Second chakra just below the belly button.
This is linked to emotions,
Creativity and relationship.
Here,
Reiki often brings emotional relief.
Sometimes people feel lighter,
They feel more joyful or often even emotionally unstuck.
Solar plexus chakra,
Just under the breastplate or the breastbone.
This chakra is about confidence,
Boundaries and personal power.
Reiki can help when you feel drained,
People-pleasing or disconnected from your sense of self.
And then we get to the heart chakra.
This is a biggie.
Grief,
Heartbreak,
Emotional exhaustion all sit here in the heart chakra.
Reiki gently supports healing here.
Many people feel warmth,
Softness and often emotional relief.
It's not unusual to shed a tear or two during a Reiki session.
Then we go to the throat chakra,
Right here in the throat.
If you struggle to express yourself or you think that you're unheard,
Reiki helps unblock that stuck energy so that communication feels easier and a lot more authentic.
And then we go to the third eye in the crown chakra.
These are linked to intuition and to clarity.
Here,
Reiki often will bring a mental calm,
Insight and a deeper sense of connection without ever being overwhelming.
What does client actually feel during a Reiki session?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that Reiki is dramatic or strange.
In reality,
Most people feel things like deep relaxation,
Warmth or tingling,
Emotional release,
Mental clarity or simply pure peace.
Some people even fall asleep,
Which is actually a sign of the nervous system feeling safe enough to actually rest.
Beautiful,
Isn't it?
You don't need to believe in Reiki for it to work.
You just need to allow yourself to receive.
Why do people come back for Reiki again and again and again?
Most people don't come for Reiki because they want their chakras balanced.
They come because they're exhausted,
Emotionally overwhelmed,
Stuck in stress,
Disconnected from themselves or just needing the space to breathe.
Balancing the chakras is simply the result,
Not the goal.
Reiki creates a space where your body,
Your mind and energy can reset gently,
Safely and naturally.
So if you've been feeling out of balance,
Overwhelmed or not quite yourself,
Reiki can be a beautiful form of self-care and healing.
It's not about fixing you because you are not broken.
It's about supporting your energy so you can come back into alignment with yourself.
This is important.
It's about supporting your energy so that you can come back into alignment with yourself,
With who you truly are.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
