Good morning.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation called Battling with Grief.

Any kind of grief.

I want you to find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Release the weight of your grief,

Even if just for a moment.

With each inhale,

Imagine drawing in peace and stillness.

With each exhale,

Allow yourself to let go of the pain,

Even if it's just a little.

Breathe in comfort,

Breathe out sorrow.

Visualize yourself breathing in peace and stillness.

And visualize yourself breathing out all your sorrow.

So,

Deep breath in,

Deep breath out.

Deep breath in,

Deep breath out.

Deep breath in,

Deep breath out.

And now I want you to place your hand over your heart.

Feel its steady rhythm.

Feel its steady beat.

With each beat,

Remember the love and the bond that will always connect you to your loved one,

No matter what.

Remember,

Love never truly leaves us.

You will always have the love in your heart.

Allow yourself now to recall a happy memory with your loved one.

I want you to picture it in as much detail as you possibly can.

All the sight,

The sound,

The feeling,

The emotion.

Let this memory flood into your mind.

And let the happiness and the joy of this memory flood your body,

Allowing light to come in and replace the darkness of love.

Feel the love flow through your body.

Repeat these affirmations to yourself.

It's okay to feel sadness,

But it's also okay to feel peace.

I honor my loved one by living fully,

Even in their absence.

I carry their love with me always,

In every step I take.

I want you now to sit a moment and reflect on the gratitude you have for the time you shared with your loved one.

Even though their physical presence is gone,

The impact that they made on your life is eternal.

I want you now to visualize a balloon.

Place all your feelings of love,

All your feelings of longing,

Place them inside the balloon.

The balloon.

That's right.

All your feelings of love and all your feelings of longing are going inside the balloon.

When you're ready,

I want you to release the balloon into the sky,

Knowing deep down that letting go of the balloon is not letting go of your loved one.

All that it's doing is giving you permission to heal.

I want you to bring your awareness back now to your breath.

Take three deep grounding breaths.

Feel the support of the ground beneath you.

Feel safe,

Secure,

At peace,

And grounded.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Carrying the love and the beautiful memories of your loved one with you.

Thank you so much for listening.

Have a beautiful day.

Namaste.
