Welcome to this meditation to help ease stress and anxiety.

It's so often easy to be carried away with the mind's thoughts creating tension or pain in the body.

If we set our intentions and find that breath we can allow ourselves to bring more calm within.

When we calm the storm within we can better handle the chaos around with more calmness and peace.

So find a comfortable space,

Allow yourself to sit or lay just in a space that you can soften and relax a little,

Allow the shoulders to drop away from the ears,

Closing the eyes down gently,

Going within,

Just be with the breath,

Be with your body,

Carving this moment for you knowing you are safe,

Safe to feel,

Safe to be as you are in this exact moment.

Knowing in each breath things can shift and change with ease.

Bring that awareness now to the breath,

In through the nose and out through the mouth,

Long and slow.

Next round of breath we're going to bring that breath all the way in through the nose and once you think you've made it to the top take an extra sip in,

Long and slow out through the mouth gently.

In through the nose all the way to the top,

Once you think you've made it that extra sip in,

Long and slow out.

Take one more at your pace,

All the way in.

Allow your breath to steady to its natural rhythm now.

If you've been feeling stressed or anxious you may feel some tension or tightness in the body,

Become aware.

It's going to bring awareness to these parts of the body,

It is safe to do so,

To feel.

It's okay to bring awareness to the tension and tightness in our body,

By bringing this awareness we can allow it to shift and heal.

Allow yourself to notice from the top of the head,

Down the body,

Notice what feels tight or painful,

Where is the stress sitting in the body,

Where is the anxiety sitting in the body,

Bring awareness to those parts of the body.

Describing what it looks like or feels like,

Is it soft,

Hard,

Rigid,

Heavy or light?

Is there another way to describe it?

What color is it?

What shape?

Knowing you are safe and held,

Breathing deeper into these places and with each breath out you let them go.

Allow the gentle healing with the breath in and the letting go with the breath out.

Breathing in,

Inviting revitalizing energy in,

Allowing the out breath to let go of these anxieties and pain.

Gently,

Softly it dissolves,

You start to feel lighter.

Here I invite you to ground into your body,

Feel the center of your heart,

Feel it open up with love and self-compassion,

For understanding for yourself and others.

Maybe you can visualize a light or feel a light coming from the heart,

Through every limb and every vein,

Traveling this beautiful light throughout you all the way down.

Feel your energy travel into the earth,

Down through the beautiful layers of dirt,

Rock and sands,

All the way to the center of the earth.

Beautiful grounding energy,

We wrap our energy around Mother Gaia,

All the way to our feet,

Filling our body with strengthening grounding energy,

Allowing a deep breath in and long and slow out.

The peace within me radiates outwards and fills my whole body,

Giving them a wriggle,

Awareness in the fingers and the toes,

Giving them a wriggle when you're ready,

Starting to come back to the here moment.

When you're ready,

You can cup your hands over your eyes,

Blinking the eyes open and closed until you feel ready for full awareness.

Please remember at any point in your day or week,

You can stop,

Close your eyes and breathe.

This breath is your anchor to bring in this peace and calmness and let go of anything that you want to.

With intention,

There is power.

So set your intention with your breath often,

Your own tool to help when you need.
