December tends to stir a little more inside us... emotions, memories, expectations, beginnings, and endings. These few minutes help you settle before stepping into it fully, like taking a quiet breath before walking into a new chapter. A moment of warmth and stillness, between cold air and firelight, giving you space to enter December with a calmer heart.

There you are,

You lovable being.

Today,

You chose a moment for yourself,

In a month that often feels busier than the others.

December has its own way of touching us.

It's the last bit of the year,

And emotions can echo a little deeper.

The soft ones,

The happy ones,

The heavy ones too.

It's a paradoxical month,

Filled with preparations and celebrations,

Pauses and reflections,

Gratitudes and wishes,

Endings and beginnings you feel approaching.

So before we go any further,

Let's just give our body a bit of room to arrive.

I would like to invite you to find a comfortable position,

A nice straight spine,

Seating,

Standing or even laying,

Wherever you are,

Whatever feels best right now.

Let's take one long,

Deep breath.

Inhale through your nose.

Hold the air.

And exhale through your mouth.

Let's do it one more time.

Try and fill your lungs slowly and deeply.

Hold the air.

And exhale through your mouth.

One last time.

Fill your lungs as much as you can.

Hold.

And exhale through your mouth.

That's it.

Now come back to your regular breathing.

And let yourself ease into this moment.

Just the way December settles on planet Earth.

Quietly.

Steadily.

Slowly.

Naturally,

Without rushing.

Outside,

The air has cooled down.

The light also lowers earlier.

Even the landscape seems to whisper that it's okay to slow down.

To prepare gently.

To let feelings deepen without needing to be fixed or arranged.

You're safe here.

You're allowed to feel everything you feel.

You don't have to do anything.

But what you have is the resilience you need to move through this last chapter of the year.

As you settle a little more into this moment,

Observe how your breath finds its own rhythm now.

Nothing to control.

Nothing to force.

Just like the month of December.

The gentle rise and fall that has been with you all day.

And all your life.

And as your breathing softens,

You might imagine yourself stepping outside for a moment.

Into a calm,

Vast winter landscape.

The kind of place where everything feels quiet.

Slow.

Almost suspended.

Do you feel the air?

Crisp on your skin.

Peaceful and awakening at the same time.

Do you hear the noise of the winds?

Are there birds in the distance?

Stay there for a breath.

Taking in the stillness around you.

The silence.

The quiet of the season.

The way winter lets go of the unnecessary.

And keeps only the essential.

And then,

As you slowly turn back toward your inner space,

You notice a soft,

Warm flicker waiting for you.

A fire.

Its crackling sound barely there.

Just enough to bring you comfort.

To warm up your heart.

As you walk toward this magnetic light,

You can feel its warmth spreading.

Along your back.

Under your thighs.

Your knees.

Along your chest.

Your neck.

Your cheeks.

All the way down to your hands.

And your fingers.

Let this warmth be something good.

Something simple.

A small place of comfort at the center of your day.

Notice how the outside and the inside meet here.

A little bit like when you breathe through your nose.

The cold air coming in.

And the warm air coming out.

Stay with this feeling for a moment.

Breathe into this wonderful winter pause.

Letting the stillness of the season clear a little space inside you.

And the coziness of the fire warming up your body.

Take a little moment to observe this statement.

Whatever December may bring to you,

You already carry exactly what you need to navigate through it.

Before ending this meditation,

Let's take one last deep breath in.

Hold.

And exhale,

Releasing anything else you don't need to carry back with you.

I wish you a gentle way back to your December.

With a little more warmth,

A little more space,

And a quieter place inside you.

And remember,

You don't have to meet any expectations.

You don't have to push yourself.

You can simply listen to what feels right.

And let things be exactly as they are.
