Just taking time now to arrive into your body.

Let's find a comfortable spot,

You may want to readjust,

Make slight movements.

Just do whatever you have to do to get yourself comfortable and I'd like you now to just lower your gaze or close your eyes and just take a nice deep cleansing breath in and on the exhale just softening your shoulders and just feeling your body relax and you may wish to place your hands on your lap,

On your heart,

Just place them wherever feels good for you.

Taking another deep breath in and exhale.

I'd like you to take yourself now to a really cozy space.

It may be in a cozy chair by a fireside,

Maybe you are sitting by a window,

Perhaps you're in bed,

Maybe you're out in nature in a cave and whatever is coming up for you is okay.

You may visualize yourself like a tiny seed in the dark soil nestled there all warm and cozy and that's kind of what we're like at this time of year.

We begin to become aware that the season is approaching a transition,

That we are at that midpoint now where we are dancing between winter and spring.

The days are slightly lighter for longer,

The Sun feeling warmer,

The ground thaws out and gradually we start to see little shoots,

Little blooms beginning to emerge.

The days start off crisp and fresh and there's still that slight bite in the air but there is more light and there is more warmth.

Our bones are starting to soften,

We don't feel like we're tensing as much to kind of retain that heat and just notice yourself in this cozy space now.

Really take in your surroundings,

Maybe there's a fire beside you keeping you warm,

Maybe you are covered in warm blankets or layers of clothing and the room may be slightly dark but there is light coming in.

It may be from a candle,

From a fire,

From a window and in this space just notice how cozy you are,

How comfortable you are.

Are you happy to keep resting there or do you feel the urge maybe to twitch,

To wiggle like a seed begins to split right before the sprout is about to emerge.

It just makes slight movements to allow that to happen.

Maybe you are ready to turn in your chair in your cozy space and face towards the Sun.

Maybe you have light streaming in through a window and you're not ready to go outside yet but perhaps you are ready to just look outside and observe.

And this is energetically where we tend to find ourselves at this time of year.

As we move into February the wheel of the year turns to invoke the return of the light and this is just a real midpoint,

A transitional time for us where we begin to think about emerging.

We know it's it's going to happen,

That it's coming for us and you may be ready and raring to go or you may just be not quite there yet and just notice where you are today,

Where you are in this moment and know wherever you are is exactly where you need to be right now.

The days will keep getting longer,

The Sun will keep getting warmer and stronger and if you're not ready yet you may be ready in the next few weeks and that's okay.

And just taking another deep breath into your body and exhale.

And just for today just thanking yourself for being here,

For taking this time for you to sit and acknowledge where you are energetically.

You may want to do this meditation again in a few days.

Check in and see if anything's changed.

I invite you now to maybe take another deep breath and on the exhale you may like to flutter your eyes open and arrive back into your room.

Now ready to return to your day or your evening.

Just having that sense of knowing where you are right now and knowing that that's okay.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
