Welcome to a meditative healing practice for the spine.
My name is Beth and I'll be guiding you.
So take a moment now to settle into a comfortable seated position or lying down with your spine straight.
Begin to breathe deeply and fully,
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Release any tension as you exhale.
Now breathe normally,
Allowing your breath to become slower and rhythmic and bring your attention inward.
Visualize the soft,
Warm,
Shimmery light surrounding your spine.
It can be of whatever color you choose.
Now focus this light starting at the top of your neck and allow it to glimmer down through your cervical vertebrae.
Allow this light to soothe any tension or discomfort in this area,
Releasing any tightness or pain.
The light carries a healing program for each of your little cells,
Which receive this light with an expression of gratitude,
Relief and joy.
Any physical trauma or outdated emotional patterns to which the neck has been subject dissolves and is replaced with this healing light.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Bring your awareness to your thoracic spine,
The middle portion of your back.
Imagine this area becoming more flexible and supple as the warm,
Bright,
Sparkling light flows down through each vertebra.
Allowing any tension or stiffness to simply dissolve.
The light corrects any weakness,
Nerve damage or distress within the tissues,
Replacing them with stronger,
More resilient versions.
Now focus on your lower back,
The lumbar region,
Which is so susceptible to pain and discomfort.
Visualize the warm glow of the healing light traveling down through each lumbar vertebra,
Easing any chronic or acute tension or tightness in the muscles surrounding your spine and in all connective tissues,
Including the spongy discs.
Let the light penetrate into your bones,
Working on the deepest levels to reorganize any structural damage,
No matter what has caused it,
Returning your lower back to a perfect state.
Finally,
Bring your attention to the sacrum,
The sacred triangular bone at the base of your spine.
This area is responsible for supporting the weight of your upper body and can often become compressed or misaligned.
Send the shimmering healing light down to your sacrum,
Surrounding it,
Bringing balance and stability to this area.
Feel a strength return,
And a sense of feeling supported in all you do,
And a trust in your lovable,
Deserving nature.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow the warm light to flow freely throughout your entire spine,
Sparkling now like a star.
Let the light bring warmth where it is needed,
And a soothing coolness to any inflammation,
Healing any areas of pain or discomfort.
Allow the light to create more space between each of your vertebrae,
And allow it to form a protective space around your spinal column.
Know that your spine is strong and resilient,
And with continued care and attention,
It can be a source of support and vitality for your entire body for the rest of your life.
Sense your spine from the top of your neck down to your tail as the energy in it awakens and glistens,
Celebrating a newfound state of wellness.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your attention back to your breath,
And slowly open your eyes.
Know that you may return to this meditation as often as you wish to reinforce and increase its healing potentials.
