Transcript

This introductory mirror meditation draws upon Ho'oponopono,

An ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness.

Please prepare your space for mirror meditation.

You will need a large mirror,

Dim lighting,

A quiet place to sit in front of the mirror comfortably.

And just look at your reflection.

Let your eyes go where they will and be aware of any thoughts,

Judgments,

Feelings or sensations that arise.

No trying,

No effort.

Just looking.

Just breathing.

Connecting with yourself.

As you inhale,

Collect all your tension and stress.

And as you exhale,

Release it.

Inhale collecting your tension and stress.

Exhale letting it go.

Feel and see the body respond.

Your shoulders drop.

Your face relaxes.

Your body relaxes.

You feel the support of your skeletal structure.

All those little muscles around your eyes let go,

Relax.

Your jaw softens.

Now look into the center of your eyes.

Just look and breathe.

And as you drop deeper and deeper into your chair and yourself,

Let go.

Let go.

Judgments may come,

Just notice them.

Judgments may come,

It's okay.

Feelings may arise,

Let them be.

Look and breathe.

Connect and breathe.

Now continue to connect and breathe and notice your responses as you listen to the sound of my voice.

Keep engaged with your eyes.

Focus.

Stay aware.

If you have a reaction,

Take note,

But let it be what it is and gently refocus.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

I see you.

I see you.

I see you.

I see you.

I see you.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Look deeply into your own eyes.

Feel the power of your own presence.

Your eyes may tear.

Your lips may smile.

Your heart may open.

Just feel and breathe.

Remain in this state with yourself in silence for several minutes.

Thank you.

Much love.

Oh my goodness, I have no words for how incredible this was. I am practicing self love and acceptance and I actually cried when saying sorry to myself and asking for forgiveness. I now have a beautiful sense of peace. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience. ❤️🙏
