Welcome.
My name is Emily and I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you already have a regular journaling practice,
This is your first time journaling in a while or your first time ever,
You're in the right place.
This is a gentle space.
There's nothing you need to do perfectly,
Just showing up is enough.
Let's begin by arriving together.
If it feels comfortable,
Take a slow breath in and a soft breath out.
And again,
Breathing in gently and letting it go.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to unclench and your body to settle just a little more.
There's nowhere else you need to be right now.
If journaling has ever felt difficult,
If you've ever started and stopped before,
Maybe many times,
If you've ever thought,
I don't know what to write,
You're not alone in that.
This space isn't about writing something impressive,
It's about noticing small things and allowing your thoughts to land on the page just as they are.
Messy is welcome here and simple is more than enough.
Before we begin writing,
Just take a moment to gently check in with yourself.
How are you arriving today?
No need to analyse,
Just notice.
You might like to set a small intention for this time,
Something soft and supportive like,
I'll write whatever comes or I'll stay curious and let it feel light.
When you're ready,
Open your journal and begin with this simple invitation.
Dear me,
Today I noticed.
You might notice a feeling,
A thought or something small from your day.
There's no right way to do this,
Just let your pen move,
Even if it's only a few words.
In a moment,
I'll give you three small prompts and you're welcome to use those or write freely,
Whatever comes most naturally to you at this moment.
Remember,
You can pause or rewind the track and go at your own pace.
Take your time,
I'll be right here with you.
Here are the prompts for today.
Dear me,
Today I noticed something that made me smile.
Maybe a memory of something wonderful or a thought,
Something you haven't done for yourself for a while.
The sun peeping out from the clouds,
Something that made me smile.
The next prompt is something I feel grateful for,
Something I feel grateful for.
Maybe that first cup of tea or coffee in the morning or a friend who sent a message or called to offer support or just to check in.
Or maybe the feeling of the wind in your hair or the sun on your face,
Something you feel grateful for.
The last prompt for today,
One word for how I feel,
One word for how I feel.
If it helps,
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze and place one or both hands to your heart centre.
Just see what is the first word that comes to mind,
Not forcing anything or searching for the right word.
The first word that comes to mind is usually the right one.
Take a moment now to look back at what you've written,
Not to judge it or analyse it,
But simply to notice because you showed up and you made space for yourself and that matters far more than what's on the page.
Even a few words,
Even a few minutes like this is how a habit begins to grow.
Not through pressure,
But through small steady moments like this one.
You don't have to do it perfectly,
You just have to return.
Whenever you're ready,
You can close your journal and take a final breath.
Then continue with your day,
A little more connected to yourself.
Thank you so much for being here and for sharing this space and for giving this time to yourself.
If it felt helpful,
Then you're always welcome to come back and join again.
I will upload some more tracks,
Some more guided journaling sessions and sometime in the future there'll be some live journaling sessions too.
If you have any questions or any feedback,
Please do reach out and let me know.
I love to chat and feedback is always welcome.
Thank you so much for listening to this and hopefully I'll see you again soon.
Have the most wonderful day.
Bye for now.
