Welcome,
Welcome.
My name is Emily and I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you already have a regular journaling practice,
This is your first time journaling in a while or your first time ever,
You're in the right place.
This is a space to gently return to yourself.
There's nothing you need to do perfectly,
Just showing up is enough.
Let's begin by arriving together.
If it feels comfortable,
Take a slow breath in and a soft breath out.
And again,
Breathing in gently and letting it go.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to unclench and your body to settle just a little more.
There's nowhere else you need to be right now.
Let this practice feel easeful and safe.
Take another breath and feel the support beneath you.
Notice where your body connects to the ground and feel the support in each part of your body.
Bring your awareness to the strength of the ground,
The earth,
And how it holds you safe in this space.
Today,
We explore feeling grounded,
Feeling safe and supported,
Rooted in ourselves.
When you're ready,
Open your journal and begin with this gentle invitation.
Dear me,
Today I am supporting myself by.
.
.
You might notice a feeling,
A thought or something small from your day.
There's no right way to do this.
Just let your pen move,
Even if it's only a few words.
I have prepared some prompts that you are welcome to use,
Or feel free to stay in the space and write freely whatever comes most naturally to you at this moment,
Or whatever you need in this moment.
Remember,
You don't have to use all of the prompts and you can pause or rewind the track to go at your own pace.
Take your time.
I'll be right here with you.
Here are the prompts for today.
Dear me,
Today I feel supported by.
.
.
What currently helps me feel safe or steady?
Where do I feel grounded in my life?
What makes me feel unsettled?
What helps me come back to myself?
What simple thing brings me comfort?
What would feeling more supported look like?
I'll do a recap now for you of all of those prompts.
Dear me,
Today I feel supported by.

.
What currently helps me feel safe or steady?
Where do I feel grounded in my life?
What makes me feel unsettled?
What helps me come back to myself?
What simple thing brings me comfort?

Remember,
You are allowed to feel supported.
Our hearts are made to receive as well as to give.
Even noticing what helps is a step towards that.
Take a breath now and carry that steadiness with you through the day.
Take a moment now to look back at what you've written,
Not to judge it or analyse it,
But simply to notice.
You showed up again today.
You made space for yourself and that matters far more than what's on the page.
Even a few words,
Even a few minutes like this is how a habit begins to grow.
Not through pressure but through small steady moments like this one.
You don't have to do it perfectly,
You just have to return.
Whenever you're ready you can close your journal,
Take a final breath and gently return to your day feeling a little more grounded and supported.
Thank you so much for being here,
For sharing this space and for giving this time to yourself.
If it felt helpful,
You're very welcome to come back and join again.
And as always,
If you have any questions,
Any feedback,
Anything at all you'd like to talk to me about,
I love to chat,
So please reach out and let me know your thoughts and I'll see you again very soon.
