Welcome,
My name is Emily and I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you already have a regular journaling practice,
This is your first time journaling in a while or your first time ever,
You're in the right place.
This is a space to gently return to yourself.
There's nothing you need to do perfectly,
Just showing up is enough.
We'll begin by arriving together.
Take a slow breath in and a soft breath out.
And again,
Gently breathing in and letting it go.
Allow your body to soften,
Let your shoulders drop and let your jaw unclench.
You don't need to hold on to anything right now,
Soften and allow your breath to feel easy.
Today,
We're simply coming back to centre.
Not fixing,
Not changing,
Just noticing where you are.
When you're ready,
Open your journal and begin with this simple invitation.
Dear me,
Today I feel.
You might notice a feeling or a thought or something small from your day.
There's no right way to do this or answer the question.
Just let your pen move,
Even if it's only a few words.
I'll give you some prompts now that you are welcome to use or feel free to stay in the space and write freely.
Whatever comes most naturally to you at this moment.
Remember,
You don't have to use all of the prompts and you can pause or rewind the track to go at your own pace.
Take your time and I'll be right here with you.
Beginning with Dear me,
Today I feel.
What feels present for me right now?
What feels calm or steady within me?
What feels unsettled or is asking for attention?
Where in my body do I feel tension?
What do I need more of right now?
What can I gently let go of just for today?
One thing that I can do to come home to my centre.
A recap of all of those prompts.
Dear me,
Today I feel.
What feels present for me right now?
What feels calm or steady within me?
What feels unsettled or is asking for attention?
Where in my body do I feel tension?
What do I need more of right now?
What can I gently let go of just for today?
And lastly,
One thing that I can do to come home to my centre.
I could breathe more deeply,
Move through my day with awareness.
Or go slowly and gently through the tasks I have ahead of me.
Whenever you're ready,
Begin to gently finish your writing.
And take a moment to look back over your words.
Not to judge,
Just to notice.
And continue with your day a little more connected to yourself.
Thank you for being here and for sharing this space.
And most of all for giving this time to yourself.
If it felt helpful,
You're more than welcome to come back and join again.
And remember,
Even a few words,
Even a few minutes like this is how a habit begins to grow.
Not through pressure,
But through small,
Quiet moments like this one.
You don't have to do it perfectly,
And you're always invited to return.
You came back to yourself today,
Even in this small way,
And that matters.
Take one slow breath in.
Carry this sense of coming back to your centre with gratitude and honour it in your heart.
Thank you for being here.
If it felt helpful,
Please let me know.
And if you have any feedback,
I'm always open to suggestions and ways to improve the practice.
I love to chat,
So feel free to reach out.
And hopefully,
I'll see you again here soon.
