Welcome.
My name is Emily and I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you already have a regular journaling practice,
This is your first time journaling in a while,
Or your first time ever,
You're in the right place.
This is a space to gently return to yourself.
There's nothing you need to do perfectly,
Just showing up is enough.
Let's begin by arriving together.
If it feels comfortable,
Take a slow breath in,
And a soft breath out.
And again,
Breathing in gently and letting it go.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to unclench,
And your body to settle just a little more.
There's nowhere else you need to be right now.
Let this practice be simple.
This session is about noticing,
Without needing to change anything,
Just being the observer,
Without judgement or needing to create meaning.
When you're ready,
Open your journal and begin with this gentle invitation.
Dear me,
Today I noticed.
You might notice a feeling,
A thought or something small from your day.
There's no right way to do this,
Just let your pen move,
Even if it's only a few words.
I have some prompts for you now that you are welcome to use,
Or feel free to stay in the space and write freely,
Whatever comes most naturally to you at this moment,
Or whatever you feel you need the most.
Remember,
You don't have to use all of the prompts,
And you can pause or rewind the track to go at your own pace.
Take your time,
I'll be right here with you.
Here are the prompts for today.
Dear me,
Today I noticed.
Something small that stood out to me.
A feeling that came and went.
A thought I keep returning to.
Something I usually overlook.
A moment that felt calm or quiet.
One thing I'm grateful for today.
I'll recap all of those prompts for you now.
Dear me,
Today I noticed.
Something small that stood out to me.
A feeling that came and went.
A thought I keep returning to.
Something I usually overlook.
A moment that felt calm or quiet.
One thing I'm grateful for today.
There's nothing more you need to do with what you noticed.
Awareness on its own is enough.
Take a moment now to look back at what you've written.
Not to judge it,
Or analyse it,
But simply to notice.
You showed up,
You made space for yourself and that matters far more than what's on the page.
Even a few words,
Even a few minutes like this is how a habit begins to grow.
Not through pressure,
But through small steady moments like this one.
You don't have to do it perfectly,
You just have to return.
Whenever you're ready,
You can close your journal,
Take a final breath and gently return to your day a little more present to yourself.
Thank you for being here,
For sharing this space and for giving this time to yourself.
If it felt helpful,
You're always welcome to come back and join again.
And if you have any feedback or would like to reach out to me with any questions,
I love to chat,
So please send me a message and I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you so much.
You take care.
Bye for now.
