I'm Kerry Bethan.
I'm really happy that David asked me back to be your guide tonight.
But in tonight's practice,
We'll allow ourselves to be integrated with a sense of peace,
Contentment,
And love to bring you home to a place of safety.
When we end the day with the embodiment of each of these states,
We can drift into sleep with a sense of wholeness,
Of enoughness.
As you feel held and comforted,
You can find the freedom to fully relax,
To fully rest.
So let's begin now to come down into the breath and into the body,
Gently breathing in and out.
And on one of those breaths,
Allow the eyes to close.
Coming into a sense of being,
Being present with yourself,
And recognizing for a moment the ways in which you are protected right now,
Held,
Your bed beneath you,
The roof above you,
The weight of your covers wrapped around you.
Let your breath become soft and slow.
See if you can let thoughts be.
Let them come.
Let them go.
An effortless flow as gentle as your breath.
Finding freedom in presence now as you let go of worries.
The more you ground into this moment,
The more you allow freedom to flow.
And as this sense of freedom arises,
Invite a soft smile to appear on your face,
A gentle half smile,
A smile that knows that in this moment,
All is well.
All is free.
You're free from the day,
Free from tomorrow,
Free to simply be in this moment,
Here,
Now,
Breathing,
Releasing,
Drifting.
Breathe in,
Release,
And let go.
The more relaxed you are,
The deeper you drift.
Be aware of any bracing,
Any resistance to letting go.
And with a smile,
Soften with each breath,
Sending your inhale to those areas of tension,
Lovingly letting go with your exhale.
And smile.
There is no need to hold on.
Allow the breath to support you in letting go.
Releasing resistance to anything inside of yourself or outside of yourself,
Breath by breath.
In the absence of this resistance,
Welcome in acceptance.
Peace.
With each breath,
Smile.
Notice your body.
Notice how your body is all right right now.
As you breathe,
Smile to your body with love and compassion.
Offer gratitude to your body for always being there for you,
Guiding you,
Supporting you.
There is a friendliness here.
Come home to your body now,
Home to yourself.
Welcoming that smile into your heart space now.
Imagine the shape of your heart and feel life beating within.
Relax your heart with your smile.
Sense ripples of ease moving through your body with each beat.
Each beat,
Each breath,
Working in harmony with your body to keep you safe.
Smile.
It is safe to soften.
It is safe to let go.
Continuing to allow that sense of a smile to move through your body like a warm golden light.
Calming the body.
Calming the mind.
Guiding you deeper to a place of peaceful presence.
Encouraging that sense of peace to grow within as the body settles and you surrender to stillness.
Feel your body becoming calmer,
Relaxed,
Still,
Like a crystal clear mountain lake.
Waves gently lapping as they meet the shore,
As your breath gently meets the night's air.
Breathe with this feeling of peace.
Let it wash over you.
Let it sink deeply into you as you sink deeply into yourself.
Developing a sense of intimacy within yourself and this moment.
Rediscovering a sense of peace.
And inviting into your awareness now something or someone that makes you feel grateful,
Appreciative,
Joyful.
A moment from the day,
From the week,
That gifted you a sense of abundance,
Of worthiness.
A time where you felt whole.
And open up to this moment.
Let it in.
Meet yourself with kindness here.
And invite in all the joys that are available to you.
Offering words of thank you.
Thank you.
And letting these words of gratitude be felt by your heart.
Breathe that feeling into your body.
Allow gratitude to melt into your heart.
A sense of love and appreciation moving through you with the ease of your breath.
Needs met.
Rediscovering a sense of contentment.
And gently invite into your consciousness now the image of a loved one.
Someone you care deeply for and who cares for you.
Open to the sense of deep emotional connection.
Feel the warmth of this connection as you allow yourself to be embraced by the image of them.
And smile with this image.
Imagine holding them in your arms.
Feeling of love to land within you.
Love flowing in and out in union with the breath.
With each exhale,
Gifting this feeling outwards into the night's embrace.
Whole,
Safe,
Held and free.
Loved.
And absorb the sense of love into your being,
Your core.
Allow love to soften you even deeper and carry you through to sleep.
Rediscovering the sense of love.
And sinking into sleep now as sleep sinks into you.
Rest with the knowing that you are safe to drift,
Safe to dream.
There is a peaceful welcoming into this place of restful sleep.
An arrival home as you rest with your heart.
Letting go into sleep becomes even easier now as you are filled with peace,
Contentment and love.
All present here now.
