I feel tired.
I get this a lot.
If you've been feeling drained,
Like you're not at full capacity,
Like your tank isn't totally full,
Your energy is never really at its peak capacity,
You are not alone.
I get this a lot and I've gone through it too.
And when your energy isn't full,
It's hard to create your relationships,
Your career,
Your creative project,
Everything is kind of like half done.
Maybe you have a hard time finishing,
Being inspired,
Getting up out of bed.
And I think part of that,
I've seen this in a lot of students of mine,
Is their energy is being drained by other people,
By the past,
By the future.
Now,
Of course,
There's a physical aspect to this,
Maybe you have a thyroid issue,
Or I know I used to have gut issues with my microbiome and my good friend Robin Berzen,
Who has an awesome company called Parsley Health,
Her doctors helped and health coaches helped me so,
So much to heal that and help bring my energy levels up.
So we have to take care of the physical,
But today I wanna talk to you about the energetic side of it,
The spiritual side,
The mental,
Emotional side,
And go over the three steps you can take to actually start to reclaim your energy so you can feel full,
Feel creative,
Feel inspired,
And not just be like,
David,
I'm tired.
David,
I'm so tired all the time.
Can you just give me spiritual Red Bull?
So step number one,
What I like to do with my students and in meditation school,
By the way,
I'm gonna be teaching a long meditation on this coming up so you can be there live or watch the recording,
But I wanna briefly go over this with you.
So step number one,
You wanna see how much of your energy out of all of your potential you actually have.
So out of 100% of your tank being full,
Where are you really at?
So if you're at like 10 or 20%,
You probably just need to take a nap or rest,
Eat,
Exercise.
If you're really,
Really low,
You just need to rest your physical body.
But once you get a bit higher,
Maybe say you're at 50% or more,
You wanna start really looking around and going,
Where's my energy being drained?
Where's it going?
So step number one,
We get a sense of where is my energy level?
And then step number two,
We start to look around and go,
What is,
Who is,
Where's my energy being drained?
So for example,
Maybe you're a people pleaser and you just want everyone to feel good and see you're giving your time,
Your energy,
Your money,
Your mental energy,
Whatever it is.
And then you feel drained.
Maybe you just heal the shit out of everybody around you.
You just,
Anyone who doesn't feel good,
You have to fix them,
Heal them,
Make them right,
Make them perfect right now.
Maybe you're a perfectionist and that's draining your energy.
Maybe you're a warrior in the future is draining your energy.
Maybe you have a psychic vampire in your life who just like,
Ooh,
Give me that good stuff.
Give me all your energy.
Maybe some of your energy is lost to a trauma or drama in the past.
In a lot of shamanic cultures and traditions,
They do what's called soul retrieval where they'll go back in time,
Heal something and then bring a piece of the soul back.
And I see this in a very similar way where you kind of left pieces of yourself in different places and times with people and you have to retrieve that energy and bring it back and reintegrate it into who you are.
And then you can move forward.
So perhaps some of your energy is locked in like an experience of shame or guilt,
Of loss,
Of confusion and you have to go retrieve that energy and bring it back.
So step one,
We find out how much of my energy do I really have?
How much am I missing?
Step two,
Where is that energy?
And then step three,
We bring it back.
We actually retrieve it.
Now there's,
There are a lot of sub steps in here.
Sub step is like dub step.
We're sub stepping in this meditation.
I'm a dork.
So,
Oh,
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
I need the validation.
So you start to find out what are my patterns,
My programming,
Why do I give my energy away?
What are the doors it leaves from?
What are my pain points?
Where if someone presses my button,
I just a button,
I just give them my energy.
We have to really reconcile that.
And that is a lifetime's worth of work.
It's not like we ever perfect it.
We just inch by inch,
Day by day,
We get better and better at it.
And we get better at managing our energy and having boundaries and knowing when to share and when to not.
So if you're someone that's like always hiding at home and you never wanna go outside,
It might be partially because your energy gets drained and you don't know how to manage it well or bring it back once you do give it away.
There's techniques that we go through to actually be able to do it.
And we're gonna go into a long deep meditation in meditation school and go over it.
And I always tell everybody,
Like if you wanna come to meditation school and you can't afford it,
We never turn anyone away because of money.

Make sure you really check in with your energy,
Honor it.
Nobody else is gonna honor your energy the way that you are.
You have to be the one to manage it and honor it.
And maybe you gotta do a little soul retrieval.
Did you sell your soul for some,
For a crackerjack box or a compliment or a little bit of money or something?
Might be time to reclaim it.
And you're gonna be much happier and more grounded when you do and then your creations are gonna be fuller.
I want you to be full of energy.
I want your creations to be full of energy and your life to be full of energy.
