Hello and welcome!
This is Caroline Wallace.
Thank you for being here and practicing with me today.
Let's begin.
Take a slow deep breath in and a soft breath out,
Allowing the body to ease into stillness.
Let the shoulders drop,
The jaw loosen and the breath find its natural rhythm.
Another slow breath in and a gentle breath out,
Feeling the body soften as though the weight you carry is beginning to loosen.
Letting go does not need to be forced.
Sometimes it begins as a simple willingness,
A quiet opening,
A small softening inside.
Bring your attention to the chest and notice if there's any tightness or holding there.
You don't need to change it.
Simply acknowledge it with kindness.
You might sense something you've been carrying,
A worry,
A tension,
A heaviness or a thought that has been looping in the mind.
There is no need to name it.
Just allow it to come into awareness as though you are holding it gently in the palm of your hand.
With your next exhale,
Imagine softly placing it down.
Not pushing it away,
Not rejecting it,
Not judging it,
Not needing to think about it.
Simply seeing it with kindness as it rests outside of you for now.
Feel the body respond,
The chest softening,
The breath moving more freely,
The face relaxing.
Another breath in,
Inviting calm and spaciousness.
A breath out and imagine anything you are ready to release flowing out of the body,
Like leaves carried away by a gentle stream.
Letting go is an offering to yourself,
A moment of permission to rest,
To lighten,
To return to ease.
Take one more slow breath in and one long breath out,
Feeling your whole body settle.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me today.
Until next time,
From the peace within me to the peace within you,
Namaste.
