Good morning and welcome.
This morning practice is here to help you begin your day from steadiness instead of urgency.
Over the next few minutes,
We'll gently settle your nervous system,
Reconnect with your body,
And create a sense of ground and clarity before the day asks anything of you.
So as we get started,
Take a moment to arrive.
Let your body find a position that feels supportive.
That might be sitting,
Lying down,
Or really anything in between.
There's no right way to be here.
Let your breath come as it is.
Just noticing.
I'm here.
I'm waking up.
I'm beginning again.
As you breathe,
Imagine your attention widening just a little.
Notice the weight of your body,
The temperature of the air,
The way your shoulders rise and fall without you even trying.
If your mind is already busy planning,
Scanning,
Bracing,
That's okay.
Morning minds often wake up in motion.
You're not doing anything wrong.
You're simply meeting yourself where you are this morning.
Let's invite a small shift.
On your next exhale,
Imagine releasing just 1% of whatever you're holding.
Not all of it.
Just enough to feel a little more space inside of your chest.
And again,
On the next exhale,
1% more.
A softening,
Not a forcing.
Now let your eyes rest on one point or soften your gaze.
Or if it feels good,
Close them.
Notice three things around you that signal safety or just neutrality.
Maybe it's the light,
A familiar object,
The quiet,
Or simply the fact that you're taking this moment before the day begins.
Let your body register.
I'm allowed to start slowly.
Bring one hand to your chest or belly,
Whatever feels natural,
And let the breath move under your hand.
Not bigger,
Not better,
Just real.
If it helps,
Imagine the inhale saying,
Here I am.
And the exhale saying,
I don't have to rush.
And let that rhythm settle you.
Now gently ask yourself,
What would support me today?
Not a to-do list,
Not productivity,
Just one quality you want to carry with you.
Maybe it's steadiness or clarity or softness,
Or simply holding a sense of enoughness.
Let that word land in your body.
Feel how it shifts your posture even slightly.
This is your anchor for the day.
Not a demand or an imperative,
But just a direction.
Take one more slow breath in,
And a long,
Easy breath out.
As you move into your morning,
Remember,
You can return to this grounded place anytime.
Your nervous system knows the way back.
Bring to mind the word that intends to guide you today.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
If this morning reset was supportive,
