Wherever you are in this practice,

Perhaps seated or laying down,

Even standing,

I invite you to take a moment to notice the support beneath your body,

Where your body is connected to perhaps chair,

Floor,

Something that offers support behind or beneath you.

And as you notice that support,

Perhaps tuning a bit of awareness into your breath,

And as you exhale,

Inviting just a bit of your momentum,

All that momentum that carries you forward in your life,

To just soften back and down.

As you exhale,

Body being drawn to that support beneath you,

Continuing to notice the breath without any need to change it.

With each inhale,

Calling more of yourself into this moment,

Calling yourself back from work,

Your world,

Your relationships,

Your to-do lists,

All that you love,

All that you hold.

Breath by breath,

Inhaling,

Calling more of yourself home,

And inviting home to be your body in this moment.

Inhaling to notice the expansion of your breath in your body.

As you breathe oxygen into your lungs,

Breathing more of yourself back from all that you've done today,

All that you've done,

Everywhere you've been,

All that you've interacted with.

And beginning as you exhale,

To just absorb,

Absorbing more of yourself.

All that energy that has been forward moving and outward moving into your life,

Just being called home for this moment in this practice.

Reversing that outward momentum,

Breath by breath,

Inhaling,

Calling yourself home,

And exhaling,

Absorbing as body softens into that support beneath you.

If you're a visual person,

Perhaps you might imagine your body like a tree.

And as you inhale,

Just calling all the energy that was upward in your branches,

In your mind,

Outward through your hands and the work that you've done today.

And as you exhale,

Breathing down into your feet,

Your sit bones,

Down to your roots,

To nourish your body and your deeper reservoirs.

And if there's any challenge in this practice,

You might assure yourself that by taking this moment in practice to nourish yourself and to soften back from all that you hold,

You'll emerge with more,

More presence,

More capacity.

Perhaps three more cycles of breath.

Inhaling,

Just calling yourself back,

Like honey,

Back into the honeycomb of your body and your awareness,

Your energy like silky ribbons,

Just slipping out from all that entangles you out there,

Out beyond you,

All that is not you.

And effortlessly just inhaling,

Calling yourself back,

Calling yourself in,

Calling yourself closer.

And as you exhale,

Absorbing,

Reweaving yourself,

You might pause here,

Absorbing for as long as you'd like before reentering the flow of life.
